Rise of Incarnates Shuts Down On December 15th

Well that was fast. Rise of Incarnates was released on July 1st and today Bandai Namco announced that its servers will be shut down on December 15th. Yeap, this F2P PC exclusive 2v2 battle arena title flopped big time.

As Bandai Namco noted:

“We must regretfully inform all users of the closure of “RISE OF INCARNATES.” We offer our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported this game . We will be keeping the servers open until December 15, 2015, so please continue to enjoy “RISE OF INCARNATES” until the very end.”

The game will be removed and won’t be available for purchase later today. Those already owning it will be able to keep playing until its servers are closed on December 15th.

Rise of Incarnates was a free-to-play action game that blended fighting and shooting in a 2v2 battle arena. The game had mixed reviews on Steam, with users complaining about the fact that its characters could not be unlocked via in-game currency (you had to pay $10 in order to unlock one character).

Ironically, all characters are now free until the game’s servers are closed. Not only that, but all customize items, boost items, and other such paid items will be reduced in price, with some going down to free, until service concludes.
