NVIDIA GeForce 442.19 WHQL driver released, optimized for Apex Legends Season 4

NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 442.19 WHQL driver offers optimal performance in Apex Legends Season 4. This driver is also optimized for Zombie Army: Dead War 4 and the Metro Exodus: Sam’s Story DLC.

NVIDIA has also improved the Maximum Framerate setting. In case you weren’t aware of, this option allows you to set the max framerate a 3D application or game can render. With the latest Game Ready Driver, gamers can set the framerate limits as low as 20fps. They can also raise this setting as high as 1000fps.

It’s also worth noting that this driver improves overall support for Variable Rate Super Sampling (VRSS). VRSS improves image quality by applying super sampling selectively on the central region of a
frame. With this new driver, gamers can enable the feature on the Global tab, automatically activating it in all supported games.

Furthermore, this driver adds support for three new G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitors. These new G-SYNC compatible monitors are: ASUS VG259QM, Dell AW2521HF, and LG 34GN850.

Last but not least, this driver addresses some bugs/issues with The Witcher 3, Doom 2016 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
