Ubisoft and SCREEN JUICE have released a PC demo for their upcoming hack ‘n’ slash action rogue-lite, Morbid Metal. PC gamers can visit the game’s Steam store page, download and play it right now.
In Morbid Metal, you can switch between 4 different characters while you play. Each one has their own special powers and attacks. You’ll fight through waves of dangerous machines and big boss battles, using cool combos and switching characters in real-time to stay strong and win.
Players will move through levels that change a little each time they play. These areas, called biomes, include places like empty, ruined wastelands from the future and old cities covered in plants.
The good news here is that the game will have some permanent upgrades and character unlocks. This means that you won’t lost those once you die. As I said before, I’m not a big fan of rogue-lites. Still, it’s at least good to know that you won’t lose ALL of your upgrades and unlocks when you die.
Anyway, the demo aims to be endlessly replayable as different character builds will keep every run fresh. The demo has two playable characters. Thus, players will be able to experiment with unique abilities and stylish combos. There is also one biome, and you can expect around 30 minutes of gameplay.
To run it, you will at least need an Inter Core i5 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1650. The demo will require 30GB of free disk space, and uses the DX11 API. The devs recommend using an Inter Core i7 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 3070.
You can go ahead and download the demo from this link. Below, you can also find its most recent trailer.
Finally, Morbid Metal will hit Steam Early Access this Summer. Oh, and contrary to other games published by Ubisoft, it does not use Denuvo.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
