Square Enix has announced FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicle. The game will be released on PC on September 30th. Below, you can also watch its first trailer.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicle will have two versions. These are the Enhanced and Classic. The Enhanced version includes voice acting, better graphics, an updated menu, and other helpful features to make the game easier to play. The Classic version keeps the look and feel of the original game. However, it adds the popular “War of the Lions” story translation and some useful features like auto-save.
In this RPG, players will lead a team in exciting battles where smart thinking and planning ahead are key to winning. They can use the shape of the 3D battlefield to their advantage and change the order of turns to help their team win.
The game will let you choose from lots of jobs and abilities to build your own battle strategies. As your team levels up, they can unlock new jobs, each with special powers. Once a character learns an ability, they can still use it even if they switch to a different job. There are over 20 jobs to try, like white mage, black mage, dragoon, and more, and hundreds of abilities to use. You can also tame Chocobos and other creatures to help you in battle.
The inclusion of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech should not be surprising to anyone. After all, Square Enix has used it in most of its titles. The good news is that SE is one of those publishers that removes it after 5-6 months.
It’s also worth pointing out that this remaster of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS was included in the big GeForce Now leak. So, this is another game that has been confirmed. The only games missing from that list are Demon’s Souls and Gran Turismo 7. Realistically, though, I don’t expect them to come out on PC. They could have been in development for PC. But right now, it seems unlikely to see them.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
