Oblivion and Dark Souls fans, here is something special for you today. Modder ‘UltraMatt’ has just released a mod that aims to make the game’s combat feel a bit more similar to that of Dark Souls or Elden Ring.
Going into more details, the mod will allow you to dodge by double-tapping a directional button. Not only that, but it introduces a Perfect Dodge mechanic. If you manage to execute a Perfect Dodge, the game will slow down, and your next hit will inflict more damage.
Moreover, the mod adds a Perfect Block mechanic. Similarly to Perfect Dodge, once you execute it, the game will slow down, and your next attack will inflict more damage. Plus, you will be able to chain your combos. Oh, and you will be able to cancel your attacks. These are some great combat features that Oblivion Remastered did not have.
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with Oblivion Remastered’s default combat system. Yes, the game’s combat did not feel as floaty as the one from the vanilla version. Still, it felt kind of simple and not that exciting. With this mod, though? Now that’s something that can make me reinstall it and play it.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video highlights most of its features. So, be sure to check it out as it will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.
Speaking of Oblivion Remastered, you can also download some other cool mods for it. For instance, you can download mods that can revert the Male/Female setting change. We also have a mod that can improve the graphics of the game. Plus, you can download a mod that enables every creature and NPC to catch on fire from open flames.
There are also mods that bring back the game’s original colors, make lights shine farther, and give female characters their own unique walking and running animations. So, it’s a good idea to check them out.
Let’s also not forget the first 4K Texture Pack for the game. This pack improved the textures of armors, weapons, clothing, and jewelry. To upscale the vanilla textures, its modder used AI tools. As such, the new textures retained the art style of the original ones.
We also have a mod that aims to improve the behavior of all animals. Plus, the creator of the amazing HD Reworked mods for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 has released his first mods. So, make sure to check them out. Finally, you can download this mod, which overhauls its combat AI system.
Finally, there is a mod that adds over 500+ hand-placed light sources to the Imperial City. This is a cool mod that a lot of Oblivion fans will find cool. So, be sure to check it out.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
