In July 2025, we shared a medium-sized fan expansion mod for Fallout: New Vegas, called The Unforgiven. I don’t know why, but that mod is no longer available for download. Thankfully, though, the BE Team has released a REDUX version of it that you can download right now.
The Unforgiven offers 12 new quests, a brand-new town, and over 20 new characters. There are also new weapons, armor, opening and ending cutscenes, and three different endings depending on your choices. The story has a Western theme, but it still lets you roleplay in many different ways. You’ll go on a big adventure filled with outlaws, bounty hunters, tribes, bears, justice, hate, revenge, and redemption.
This new REDUX version comes with an optional patch that makes it so fighting Angel no longer makes you a permanent enemy of the Omertas or lowers Strip rep. It removes the fade-to-blacks that the mod had, as they were painful to the eyes. Moreover, it adds a message to the end of the Protect the Land quest that alerts players that they’ve reached the point of no return. Finally, it comes with a spoiler document listing how to achieve every ending and find all post-mod encounter locations.

If you are into Fallout: New Vegas, you can also try these other mods for it. For instance, this mod adds real-time reflections. Another one changes over 1,000 functions to make the game run smoother. Plus, there’s a mod to make the game’s characters even smarter. Another must-have mod is this one, which improves collision accuracy and fixes/optimizes meshes.
In June 2024, we shared a mod that brought some STALKER-like anomalies to the game. Moreover, you can get this mod that adds physically-based vehicles to the game. And if you love quests, there’s a mod that gives you an endless supply of new ones. Let’s also not forget the Visuals Improved Content Expanded Mod. This mod fills the surroundings of Vegas to make it feel more like a real city.
There are also some cool fan-made expansions for New Vegas. Three of them are being made as we speak. These are Fallout: Broken City, Fallout: Nuevo Mexico, and Star Wars Open Worlds. On the other hand, we have these DLC-sized mods that you can grab and play right now. So, you can download Fallout New California, Fallout: Free Cheyenne Demo, and Fallout New Vegas: Out of Bounds. We also have Fallout The Frontier and Retribution 2. Another cool fan expansion is Tales of New Reno.
Let’s also not forget Dawn of Stealthtenza, another DLC-sized expansion mod that offers 3 hours of new content. There is also a demo of another fan remake mod for the canceled Fallout 3 game, called Fallout Revelation Blues. Plus, you can download the first version of Fallout: The New West, which aims to recreate the canceled Van Buren game. Finally, we have a demo for Fallout: Chicago.
