Fallout 4 fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Yogibird111’ has just released a pretty cool fan expansion that adds a brand new world map to Fallout 4. And, since this new free content to the game, we highly recommend downloading it.
Going into more details, Fallout Vermont is a large-scale “zombie apocalypse” mod that is set in the State of Vermont. In this expansion, players will help the locals combat the ferals and slowly unveil a devious conspiracy lurking in the shadows.
Players will be able to explore the world and talk to people to figure out what to do. You’ll meet many interesting characters and factions. Moreover, all characters are fully voiced and lip-synced.
To get to Vermont, you’ll have to use a secret tunnel just north of Sanctuary hills. Thankfully, there’s a marker on the map. Thus, you’ll be able to easily find it.
You can go ahead and download Fallout Vermont from this link. Do note that the mod works with the downgraded GOG version of F4. It will also require the Far Harbor DLC. In theory, it should also work with the Next-Gen Version.
If you are into Fallout 4, you might be interested in these other mods for it. For instance, there is a LOD mod that reduces distant objects/shadows/textures pop-ins. Then we have the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. There’s also a mod that adds ragdoll physics and collisions to dead bodies. Another amazing mod is this one that fixes the game’s long loading times. DirectHit is a mod that overhauls the AI of enemies. And let’s not forget this mod that adds real locational damage to all enemies. We also have this mod that adds to the game 10 driveable cars/vehicles with Havok physics, as well as this Enhanced Movement Mod.
To improve the graphics or performance, you can use the following mods. For instance, there are various HD texture packs. You can either download this 8K Texture Pack or this 41GB 4K Texture Pack which optimizes all 40,962 textures. There’s also a mod that improves the faces of over 1450 NPCs. Finally, there is a mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2 and Intel XeSS. Oh, and there’s a mod that adds AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation to the game.
Let’s also not forget the DLC-sized expansion mods that you can get for F4. Fallout New Vegas Remake in Fallout 4 is an unreleased mod that we’re really looking forward to. Then we have Fallout: Miami. America Rising 2 is another fan DLC/expansion mod that integrated the Enclave faction into the main story with 24 main quests. Caves Of The Commonwealth is another fan expansion that adds 2-5 hours of new gameplay content. Let’s also not forget Fallout London which looks promising. You can also download Sim Settlements 2 – Chapter 3, Whispering Hills which is a cool Silent Hill mod, and The Wilderness Mod. You can also download a new horror quest mod that is inspired by Lovecraft, Resident Evil and Dead Space. Last month, we also shared another quest mod for it. Oh, and the Mass Effect Evolution Mod is once again available for download.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Was this recorded at 800×600 and then upscaled?
As for the setting, it looked pretty generic. The level design reminded me of games from 20 years ago. Granted games from that era were often pretty good (better than a lot of the trash we have today), so just because it looks dated doesn't necessarily make it bad.
He recorded it with an AMD RX550. Of course and it runs bad. Not everyone has a high-end PC system, so more power to him.
An RX 550 wasn't a low-end GPU when it released, and should be able to run the game at 1080p on low settings with reasonable FPS. Granted the game's performance was severely effected by that stupid "next gen" update that did nothing for PC gamers, so maybe that combined with an older CPU and slow RAM are why he's playing at such a low resolution.

Actually a 550 is the bottom feeder of the line.
You might be right, I think I was thinking of a 580 (I haven't used ATI/AMD GPU's since 2005). Anyway, I think the video shows the game runs reasonably well (or at least used to) on a 550 at 1080p.
I remember when i played ot back in the day with a GF980. Well it was ok. Shadows were heavy.
Reasonable well is totally subjective. My Poco F6 runs FA4 reasonably well too 😋
It's not a high end system, but Fallout 4 was also a 2 year old game when that card came out. This is running exceptionally poorly.
Yes but is it lore accurate in its portrayal of Vermonters?

Arabs, North Africans and Blacks marry these whales hoping they make them lose weight so that they're left with a white chick.
My point is one man's trash is another man's treasure albeit a third world tresure so never judge people, it's rude.
Yeah, speaking of "trash"… Keep being you, you little tiny incel…
Maybe next year you'll touch a person of the opposite s3x. Doubt it though chunks.
Why are you assuming I want to touch the opposite s3x? You available bro?
Bro this looks so bad that it's funny
Kinda like your ma… "Bro"…
what the f*ck did I just watch?
Wtf? lol
"they were unmistakably ghouls"
let me ease watchers pain: no your ISP is not jittering your internet, your GPU is not dying, your HDMI cable is not limiting bandwidth, and you're not having a stroke.
I played the mod yesterday.
Folks, this mod is not ready for primetime and that's as polite as I can get.
The best that I can say is that the environment is different and it gives off an "Honest Hearts" kind of vibe when it comes to contrasting with vanilla Fallout 4 environments.
However… Everything else (and I do mean EVERYTHING else) needs work. A lot of it.
For starters, the mod is a literal key hunt. I'm not joking; Every single quest is a key hunt. And there aren't even formal quests; You just see a note and a key on a desk or a shelf or whatever.
There are NPCs but all they do is stand in one place and there is no branching dialog. Admittedly, the AI voices are completely fine and I'm not an "AI vs. Human" purist – The voices did their job. There are attempts at humor; To each their own but given the sub-par nature of the mod, it just comes off as really bad. One of the NPCs has erectile dysfunction while another is a parody of Preston Garvey; Your mileage may vary.
The ghouls occasionally fall below the surface for some unknown reason. For a lush forest, there are no other creatures except for ghouls (maybe they were scared off by the ghouls?). The towns all look flat and undifferentiated from one another. For a ghoul invasion, none of the towns look like they have walls or other defenses in adapting to the invasion.
And the ending (spoiler alert): Is a (very brightly lit) vault that is two hallways and a room. And one ghoul.
This mod is not ready for primetime. It needs a lot of work. Someone who knows how to code NPC behavior. Someone who can code quests. Someone who can create memorable exterior environments.
Yes, the screenshot looks impressive; The mod is not. At best, it is pre-Alpha.
If DSOG had done even the slightest bit of journalism, this article would not exist. They should at least consider writing an apology for "highly recommending" this mod.
Still better than FOLON
Much more interested in this than Fallout London tbh
