Dragon's Dogma 2 new feature

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Now Has an 8GB 4K Texture Pack for Its Environments

Modder ‘Nvidiaforever2’ has released a 4K Texture Pack for Dragon’s Dogma 2 that weighs around 8GB in size. This pack aims to improve the textures of the environments, and it’s a must for everyone who plays this latest action RPG.

For those unaware, this is an enhanced version of the pack we shared a few days ago. That previous pack was upscaling the original textures by two times. This latest version of it, though, goes a step beyond that. To provide a better image quality, the modder upscaled the original textures by four times.

This pack should work with the 4K textures we shared last week. After all, they cover different things, so there shouldn’t be any conflict between them.

You can download this latest 4K Texture Pack from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find some comparison screenshots between the vanilla and the modded textures. These screenshots should give you an idea of what you can expect from them. The vanilla textures are on the left, whereas the upscaled ones are on the right.

As you will see, these new textures make the game look much better. The modder fixed the jagged edges that the old textures had, so everything looks smoother now. Also, the upgraded textures are a bit clearer and sharper. Plus, they still keep the same artistic style as the original textures. So, if you have a GPU with enough VRAM, you’ll definitely want to use these textures.

In other news, Capcom revealed that the game has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. Moreover, the Japanese team has released the first PC update. As we’ve reported, that patch improved the game’s performance as it reduced the stutters that could occur in big cities. It’s still not perfect, but it currently runs better than its launch version. So that’s at least something.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 came out a couple of weeks ago and modders have immediately improved a lot of things. For instance, you can get a mod that improves its mouse camera movement. Another mod adds a cool lock-on combat mechanic. Then we have the Save Manager Mod which is a must-have mod. This mod allows you to start a new game, create multiple characters, and have an unlimited number of save files for each character. Let’s also not forget this mod that improves the quality of Ray Tracing, and reduces its smearing side effects. Finally, we have the DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
