Decadent feature

Decadent is a new story-driven Lovecraftian first-person horror shooter

Fulqrum Publishing has just revealed a new game called Decadent. It’s a first-person horror shooter with Lovecraftian elements. It will be also story-driven. That’s great news for guys like me. The game will be available on PC in 2025, and below you can find its first in-engine trailer. So, go ahead and take a look at it.

Decadent will blend exploration, horror, and combat for an exciting adventure. You play as John Lorn, on a quest to rescue his estranged son and discover an ancient mystery.

Players will make use of exotic weapons and special items as they face the unspeakable denizens of the Barren. Players will face depraved mountain tribes, hybrid aquatic creatures, ancient entities and ever-shifting horrors.

Although we don’t know which game engine Decadent uses, it looks incredible. The game will feature different environments like dark forests, icy tundras, dangerous cliffs, underground lakes, vast glaciers, ancient mounds, caves, and more for players to explore. The following trailer will give you a glimpse at some of them.

Incantation Games has also shared some gameplay details. For instance, players will be able to unlock new equipment that will enable them to progress in previously unavailable areas. The game will also have a dynamic sanity system. This system can lead to hallucinations or panic attacks. There will also be a progression lite system that allows players to alter certain vital stats with various artifacts.

This looks like a really promising game, so be sure to keep an eye on it.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
