Konami has revealed a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This new Metal Gear Solid title will be also coming to Xbox One (and most probably on PS4). Konami has not revealed anything yet about a PC version, but since Metal Gear Rising is coming to our platform, we can be sure that we’ll also see The Phantom Pain (sooner or later). Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new tech trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts, showcasing the graphical effects that will be supported in this next-gen version of this popular franchise. Call of Duty: Ghosts will support displacement mapping, SubD, sun-shafts, HDR, volumetric lighting, and high-resolution textures. To be honest though, apart from the SubD technique, these techniques have been used in other current-gen titles such as Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light. Geoff Keighley and Activision held an Early Access event today in which they showcased the SP mode of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Call of Duty: Ghosts was running on next-gen hardware (though Activision did not reveal the platform that was used) and seems to be a true COD game. In other words, it’s scripted to death. The dog in Ghosts will be called Riley and players will be able to control it. And simply ‘lol’ at the ending sequence where the dog jumps in a window, makes a lot of noise and then out of nowhere 5 trained guys with weapons somehow break down a wooden door so it explodes. Stompy Bot Productions has released an E3 trailer for Heavy Gear Assault, showcasing the in-game visuals that will be powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. Heavy Gear Assault has a Kickstarter campaign in order to get funded and aims to raise $800K. There are still 21 days left to it, and the campaign has only raised $41K this far. Square Enix has released the E3 2013 trailer for the fourth part of the Thief series. Thief is being developed by the same team who was responsible for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and is planned for a 2014 release on PC, PS4 and XBOne. The game is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and the PC version will be handled by Nixxes. And as you’d expect, this E3 trailer does not reveal much about its gameplay mechanics.
