Inspired by the giants of the Arena FPS genre, Nexuiz reinvents twitch gaming for next generation consoles and PC. Sony Online Entertainment has created a design time-lapse video of the Sky Lance weapon prototype with Senior Artist Roel Jovellanos, who walks the viewer through his process, from concept art to the fully textured 3D finish. Now this is an interesting video as we don’t get this kind of stuff everyday. PlanetSide 2 takes all the groundbreaking features from the original game – massive multiplayer battles, distinct empires to rally around, and enormous continents where intense ground and air combat unfolds – and adds features that modern gamers have come to expect out of the FPS and MMO genres. You know what? I love Crytek. Yeah, the company screwed us with the initial release of Crysis 2 but since then, we’ve been getting a lot of support and love. Earlier yesterday, we reported that CryEngine 3.3.9 SDK was available and today, we bring you a video that shows off the new changes made to Crytek’s latest SDK tool. I still remember those old days, when Serious Sam was a tech demo and I was reading PC Gamer UK. PC Gamer UK was one of my favourite magazines and I have so many great memories from it. But lets face it: today’s age is all about the Internet. While I miss those old days, we have to accept that life goes on and things around us are constantly changing. Ironically, the same can be said about the FPS genre but sometimes, we really need the feel for some old-school fun. Call it nostalgia or whatever, but there is that need we feel. Biart Studios have released a pre-launch trailer and some brand new screenshots for their upcoming third person under-water game, Deep Black: Reloaded. Featuring 40 single player missions across land and water, Deep Black: Reloaded is set in a desolate near future of global terrorism and espionage as players become involved in a desperate fight for world supremacy and the possession of a sophisticated biological weapon.
