Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops II has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide retail sales, according to Chart-Track retail customer sell-through information and internal company estimates. The game achieved this milestone in just 15 days after its launch on 13th November, 2012. Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached $1 billion in retail sales in 16 days. AMD fans, here is something for you today. AMD has released a new set of drivers for its graphics cards and according to their release notes, these drivers are recommended for those currently playing Ubisoft’s FPS, Far Cry 3. Now this is a nice surprise. Our reader Gianluca Manocchio has informed about an interesting entry on ShopTo. As we can see, this online store has listed Injustice: Gods Among Us for the PC, even though the game has been announced for X360 and PS3. Since NetherRealm has not confirmed anything – and since we know that they don’t give a damn about the PC platform – we advice you take it with a grain of salt. Gaz Liddon, co-founder of Ruffian Games, has uploaded a video that showcases a cancelled project that was based on SEGA’s classic 2D scrolling beat’em up, Streets of Rage. According to Liddon, this video features some scenes from a playable prototype of Streets of Rage remake and it was something they built very rapidly and represents pre-pre-pre-pre (lots of pres) pre-Alpha quality. And thank God it was cancelled as we strongly believe that a SOR remake should keep its 2D scrolling mechanics. Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced a creative partnership with renowned filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming sandbox shooter, Crysis 3. Entitled, “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”, this cinematic series will set the stage for this latest installment in the Crysis series and introduce weapons, enemies, and gameplay features new to the franchise. These cinematic shorts will also showcase the stunning visuals, dynamic environments of the urban rainforest and intense adaptive warfare fans can expect when Crysis 3 ships on Friday 22 February in UK.
