Futuremark has released a teaser trailer for the Cloud Gate benchmark of its upcoming benchmarking tool, 3D Mark. As the company described, this video features a quick look at Cloud Gate, one of three new tests in 3DMark, that is designed for testing for DirectX 10 compatible notebooks and typical home PCs. 3D Mark is planned for an early 2013 release. Capcom has announced that the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will hit PCs this March (March 22nd, 2013). According to the Japanese company, the PC version of RE6 will feature all console content as well as any future content that arrive as free title updates (such as the No Hope mode). Well, it’s good to see Croteam further tweaking its old-school shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE, even after a year of release. The Croatian team has released a new update that fixes various visual artefacts in Linux, improves switching into game after alt-tabbing, adds FPS counter variation and improves the handling of GP synchronization. The later means that PC gamers may experience smoother gameplay, as the company stated that this synchronization sometimes caused stuttering side effects. Namco Bandai has revealed the first PC screenshots of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. Ace Combat Assault Horizon features controls and graphics that have been optimized specifically for PC users, and will include many of the DLC items released on the console versions of the game. As promised, Capcom has released the new retro mashup of Mega Man with Street Fighter. The game stars Mega Man and features eight original Street Fighter-themed levels and bosses inspired by the legendary fighting game series. Each boss character will utilize their individual strategies and special moves against Mega Man, as players attempt to mega blast their way through each uniquely charming 8-bit world. The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, Far Cry 3 and Football Manager 2013 are still the best selling titles on Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. The Sims 3 series is doing as good as you’d expect in UK, while Hitman: Absolution and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria have managed to re-enter UK’s PC Retail Charts. Skyrim has gained one place, whereas Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry 3 have lost three and one places, respectively. Nixxes Software and IO Interactive have released a new update for the PC version of Hitman: Absolution. According to its changelog, this patch adds an option to either lower or disable the game’s Bloom effect, improves – slightly – the general performance, and adjusts the game’s difficulty levels.
