Blizzard wants you to have high expectations from D3 after all; incoming release date announcement

All hell has broken loose when Blizzard’s community manager, Bashiok, said that gamers should lower their expectations for Diablo III. This sounded awkward, right? I mean a community manager telling gamers to lower their expectations for a triple-A game that will most probably sell like hot-cakes? Something didn’t seem right. And according to Blizzard’s Jay Wilson, Bashiok was being sarcastic. Now obviously, there are two sides of this story: either Bashiok was indeed trolling everyone and the media mistook his comment or he was dead serious and Jay Wilson is trying to damage control this whole mess. Serious Sam: A Retrospective Video; all Serious Sam games 66% off this weekend on Steam

I still remember those old days, when Serious Sam was a tech demo and I was reading PC Gamer UK. PC Gamer UK was one of my favourite magazines and I have so many great memories from it. But lets face it: today’s age is all about the Internet. While I miss those old days, we have to accept that life goes on and things around us are constantly changing. Ironically, the same can be said about the FPS genre but sometimes, we really need the feel for some old-school fun. Call it nostalgia or whatever, but there is that need we feel. And the Serious Sam franchise is the perfect medicine for that ‘illness’. But anyway, let’s get back on topic. Devolver has released a retrospective video of Serious Sam that can be viewed bellow. Enjoy! Continue reading Serious Sam: A Retrospective Video; all Serious Sam games 66% off this weekend on Steam

Syndicate PC features an amazing easter egg, addressed to the PC gaming piracy scene

It seems that Starbreeze decided to include a .nfo file as an easter egg that is addressed to the PC piracy scene. In case you are unaware of, most scene groups place a .nfo file in their releases with installation instructions. Starbreeze went ahead and placed a similar file into Syndicate’s folder (SBZ.nfo and SBZ stands for StarBreeZe) with proper instruction in how you can install and play the game. Great find MikkelManDK! Continue reading Syndicate PC features an amazing easter egg, addressed to the PC gaming piracy scene
