PC gamers, this is a good day today as Cevat Yerli has finally spilled the beans and revealed – in an interview with Eurogamer – why Crysis 2 did not feature huge levels, similar to those found in the first Crysis game. According to Cevat, Crytek believed that the sandbox experienced (offered by both Far Cry and Crysis games) was perceived as something of an elite gamer kind of thing. Crytek got disappointed as other, more linear, games were selling better than Crysis and decided to join them. Project CARS fans, we’ve got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news is that Project CARS has reached its funding goal of of 3.75 million euro. This obviously means that the game will get funded and is planned for release in 2013. In addition, all existing members will continue to receive the perks and benefits of their chosen tool packs as the title continues to be developed. The game promises to feature an all new user interface that is built for lightning fast combat and will connect players to magic or melee like never before. Square Enix has announced that Sleeping Dogs will be getting an interesting new DLC, with which Wei Shen will be able to become a silent assassin, augmented warrior or king of chaos. Well, it appears that DirectX 11.1 will be an API that is exclusive for Windows 8, just like DX10 was to Windows Vista and DX11 was to Windows 7 (well, that was until MS released a Vista version of it). This does not shock us at all, as Microsoft is simply trying to make everyone upgrade to its latest OS, by any means necessary.
