Intel Core i7 8700K reported to offer 11% faster single-thread & 51% faster multi-thread performance than the i7 7700K

Intel has hosted a training for retailers in China for its new upcoming Coffee Lake CPUs and according to some leaked slides, the high-end model – Intel Core i7 8700K – is 11% faster in single-thread and 51% faster in multi-thread operations than its predecessor, the Intel Core i7 7700K processor. These slides also confirmed the rumours that arose a few weeks ago, suggesting that the new Coffee Lake processors will feature more cores than their predecessors. Quake Champions enters Early Access phase on August 22nd

Bethesda has announced that id Software’s multiplayer fragfest, Quake Champions, will officially exit the Closed Beta phase and enter into Early Access on Steam and through the Bethesda.net launcher on August 22nd. This Early Access build will come with a host of new content, including new maps, features, and a special new Champion – the mighty DOOM Slayer from id Software’s hit game, DOOM. LawBreakers – First patch is now available, full release notes unveiled

Boss Key Productions has released the first post-launch patch for its arena shooter, LawBreakers. According to the release notes, this patch allows players to open Stash Boxes while waiting in matchmaking lobby and queue, brings various balance tweaks and changes, greatly improved match filling logic and  fixes in game animdynamics on all characters. Absolver’s online multiplayer features detailed

Devolver Digital has detailed the online multiplayer features in their forthcoming melee combat game Absolver with the new ‘Friends & Foes’ video feature. The development team has also announced the first post-release content in a set of free updates scheduled to happen over the next six months including new gameplay modes, new features, and new moves to expand players’ customizable Combat Deck. Underworld Ascendant to be published by 505 Games in the second half of 2018

505 Games announced today a partnership with development studio OtherSide Entertainment to publish fantasy RPG Underworld Ascendant, the next-generation sequel to the landmark Underworld franchise. The deeply experienced team at OtherSide studio – helmed by industry legends Paul Neurath (Ultima Underworld, Thief) and Warren Spector (Deus Ex, Epic Mickey) – has worked on many leading game franchises, which collectively garnered more than 200 awards and earned over $3 billion in revenues. Ninja Theory has released the first patch for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Deep Silver to publish Shenmue III in the second half of 2018

Deep Silver and Ys Net have announced their collaboration to publish YsNet’s forthcoming, long awaited game Shenmue III. As the press release reads, the global publishing deal will cover the release exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PC: both physical and digital versions.
