Half-Life 2 Beta Update adds ultra-wide & Vulkan support, improves FOV

Valve has released a new beta patch for Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode One and Half Life 2: Episode Two. This new beta patch adds Vulkan support to the game, meaning that these HL2 games no longer use/feature the DirectX API.

EXOR Studios has released a new stability update for The Riftbreaker. According to the team, the October 18th Update will prevent the game from removing map save file if autosave removal fails. This should prevent users from losing progress while jumping between planetary locations.

Oddworld Inhabitants has announced an Enhanced Edition for Oddworld: Soulstorm that will release on Epic Games Store this November. According to the team, the enhanced edition contains improved gameplay and motion code, all updates, and new content.

Intel will soon release its next-gen CPUs for desktop PCs, the Alder Lake series. The Alder Lake CPUs use a hybrid architecture with big and smaller CPUs. And this hybrid architecture may introduce compatibility issues in some games that use third-party DRMs.
