Phil Spencer announced that Resident Evil 7 will be a “Xbox Play Anywhere” game. This basically means that those who purchase the Xbox One version will have access to the PC version, and that those PC gamers who decide to purchase the game via the Windows Store will get access to the Xbox One version.
RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard confirmed for @Xbox Play Anywhere – buy once, play on both Xbox One & @Windows 10 PC. https://t.co/yhcwjEnjla
— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) January 18, 2017
The Windows 10 version of Resident Evil 7 will support cross-saves between Windows 10 and Xbox One, and will let players access DLC, Gamerscore, and Achievements on both Windows 10 and the Xbox One.
Do note that Resident Evil 7 will be released on both Steam and the Windows Store. The Steam version will not be a “Xbox Play Anywhere” title, and will not support cross-saves.
Resident Evil 7 releases on January 24th!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Why would a PC owner even want to do that?
I can see an XB1 owner upgrading, if they get a new gaming PC, but not downgrading from the PC, to any console.
Plus, Windows store, not using that.
I used to game on a PS2, but the day I got my PC instead of a PS3, was the day I abandoned consoles forever. I choose the one platform I will game on, and only buy games released on that platform. I did when I owned a PS2 (second hand to keep cost down), as I do now with PC.
I’m not doing any multi-platform rubbish, if they don’t release on my chosen platform, I don’t play their games.
At least there will be people utilizing it. Let’s say someone visits a friend with RE7 with them and only has an X1, you can use his X1 to continue your save game on the PC.
i bought gears 4 on windows store and i can play with my brother who owns xbox one
the thing here is that my brother pays half of the price and me the other half win win situation
>talk xbox roommate to buy it.
>sign-in on there account
>play till bored
>profit
It’s fool proof
I would rather appreciate Oculus or Vive support (not only PS VR). This game is great for VR.
its coming but the timed exclusivity has to wear off first so youll see oculus/vive in a year or so
I have a pocket full of fcks. And still I can’t give any.
Those people arent wrong though, microsoft is horrible
