Silent Hill fan remake in Unreal Engine 4 is now available for download

Last week, we informed you about a Silent Hill map recreation in Unreal Engine 4. Created by Creative Assembly’s Environment QA Artist, James Brady, this map looked really cool and gave everyone an idea of what a Silent Hill game could look like in Epic’s engine.

Well, we’ve got some good news for you today. James has released this map and you can go ahead and download it, right now. This map is 1.54GB in size and is available from here.

Do note that this is not a full remake of Silent Hill. It does not contain enemies from Silent Hill, gameplay mechanics or all of the game’s maps. It’s a Silent Hill map remake in Unreal Engine 4. Still, we believe it’s cool, especially now that you can roam/explore this map for yourselves.

Have fun!

  1. im a UnrealEngine noob. anyone know how to play/use the downloaded files? i got UnrealEngine through the epic launcher but cant seem to find a “master” save file to play/load in the editor/engine.

  2. Way to go DSOG. Got so excited after reading the title and then at the end of the article saw that it’s not a complete game. Sad Panda.

  3. I really want to play Silent Hill. But i just can’t get my head round the controls, they are confusing. It doesn’t work well with dyslexia.

    1. Give Downpour a try, it’s one of the filthy western Silent Hills but I’d say it’s on par with Silent Hill 4 in terms of quality, and it was made in 2012, so the controls are updated and the puzzles rooted in logic.
