DOOM has just been released and it appears to feature a lot of easter eggs. So far, gamers have been able to discover easter eggs for Skyrim, Fallout, Commander Keen, the classic Doom and the Terminator 2 movie.
Going into more details, once you fall into lava and die, your player gives a thumbs up similar to the one found in the Terminator 2 movie.
Regarding Skyrim, there is a dead adventurer that wears Dovahkiin’s helmet (oh, and he/she did take an arrow in the knee).
Regarding the easter egg for Commander Keen.
As for Fallout, we can clearly see in the following screenshot the Vault-Tec sticker.
Last but not least, players can unlock a classic map from the first Doom game.

I really want to play this game on my PC right now but I cannot play it since I sold my GTX 980 Ti in anticipation of the GTX 1080 next month. This will definitely be the first game I will play on my new GPU.
You must be crazy….. You sold such a monster gpu BEFORE the GTX 10 series release? Why you didnt wait until 1070 and 1080 are out and then sell it? I wil sell my 970 the day that i will buy 1070 sometime on June!
I sold it for $597. If I waited for the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 to release and then sell it I would get much less money for my 980 Ti. Besides I also have a PS4 and I will be playing Uncharted 4 and other PS4 exclusives till then so no big deal. I really did not anticipate DOOM being this good, I was expecting a disappointing game like DOOM 3 and RAGE were. I am glad I was wrong.
Also my Intel HD 4600 is not than bad. It plays more than decade old games at max settings. Luckily we have thousands of those on Steam and GOG.
You need to wait for Gtx 1080TI with Hbm2 to have a big performance over Gtx 980TI,not Gtx 1080.just my 2 cents.
Or just wait for 1080ti

That Terminator one doesn’t look good. A clumsy animation change and, when it decides to play, it turns out that he doesn’t wholly immerse in lava, making his gesture look forced and lackluster.

Omg how stupid can you be do you even know that doom had Wallenstein references? Do you know that he splash screen was a reference? Do you know that the music is a taken from classic rock and metal trakcs?
Nonlinear levels, keys, secrets, hidden weapons, no reload no aiming down the sights, secret levels, no health regen, jumppads, teleporters, quad damge, wtf you talking about? You are literally a nostalgic hipster just like the RTCW fanboys. Go play download some levels. This is doom and the most oldschool game in decades also no you cant pirate it it uses denuvo.
And I’ve also found Doom3 Soul cube, and Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 Arcade machine
Singleplayer feels like Doom and I love it! , but multiplayer still sucks.(it is inferior in comparison to Quake3 multiplayer). Snapmap is extremely limited to module mapping(no Hell environment assets and very limited list of placeable assets) not to mention that you can carry only 2 weapons in snapmap. You cannot tweak world physics and guns, only player speed. That Sucks because I’ve hoped that someone will tweak MP to be more similar to Quake3 (both in physics & weapons) but its impossible without proper mod tools.On the other hand “Logic” in Snapmap is done very well.
Did anyone found Dopefish in new Doom?

nope, need more than 4GB VRAM for that. Shadows and virtual texturing page size have the ultra nightmare option.
