Shenmue 3 – New Video Shows Off A Hut In The Bailu Village

Ys Net has released a new video for Shenmue 3, thus giving us a glimpse at a hut in Bailu Village. Shenmue 3 is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and according to its Slacker Backer Campaign, Ys Net is discussing the PC version with the related parties. So yes, it has not been confirmed yet for a PC release (even though its Kickstarter campaign originally claimed that it was coming to our platform). Enjoy this short video after the jump!

  1. .”So yes, it has not been confirmed yet for a PC release (even though its Kickstarter campaign originally claimed that it was coming to our platform)”

    WHAT?

    1. From their website:
“Why is the PC version of Shenmue III not offered on this website?
At the moment, we are discussing the PC version with the related parties.”

My bet is on these kikes trying to get some exclusivity deal with Sony.

      1. Sony ain’t gonna pay for complete rights of an IP like Shenmue 3 specially now that we are sure how popular it still is (popularity will increase the price they will ask from Sony).

Sony can afford it but it is not beneficial enough otherwise they would make Dark Souls 3 exclusive instead of asking for a separate IP.

    2. it is confirmed. they are looking for a publisher for distribution that’s all. maybe they don’t want to rely on Steam or want to rely on more than just Steam. (perhaps for possible physical versions). Sony only handles distribution for the console version.

      from their website:

Q.Will there be an Xbox/Wii U/Linux/Mac version for Shenmue 3?

      A. Currently we are planning development only for PC (Windows) and PS4. Other platforms have not been decided yet.

i don’t blame DSO for interpreting it that way. i mean look at their tier reward:

      – Your choice of a digital or physical copy of the game for PS4.
      – A digital copy of the trial version for PC.

i mean what’s up with the trial thingy only for PC?

with Kickstarter any “confirmed” thing can change though. i mean Elite: Dangerous was suppose to have offline Single-player or something, then they changed their mind later on. maybe there are laws against it but there are loopholes in every law. all that being said i have nearly no doubt that this will come to PC.

If this is true i think they will be sued to death.

  3. I have to also voice some confusion on the PC version. It was a backer reward for the tier I invested in, so I’m pretty sure it’s coming out a-okay.
