Modder ‘therealsqueam’ released a mod that allows you to play Elden Ring with the gameplay mechanics and the weapons from The Witcher 3. This mod will completely change the way you play Elden Ring. Thus, it’s a must for your second or third playthrough, especially if you are a The Witcher fan.
Going into more details, this mod introduces Geralt’s Steel and Silver swords. The Steel sword is for most enemies, whereas the Silver sword is for the undead. Moreover, you gain access to all of Geralt’s signs. This means that you can use Aard, Axii, Quen, Igni, and Yrden.
And there is more. The moveset of your character is based on what CDPR used for The Witcher 3. For instance, light attacks can keep going until stamina drains, just like Geralt’s Whirl. You can also combine light and heavy attacks. Not only that, but you can roll and dodge, just like how you could do in The Witcher 3. You have running attacks, jump attacks, roll and backstep attacks, and more.
In short, this is a must that a lot of The Witcher 3 fans will fall in love with. So, if you are currently playing Elden Ring and want to make its combat feel a bit different, I suggest using it. You can download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video showcases its key features, so be sure to watch it.
It’s really impressive what passionate modders can achieve. Thanks to mods like these, older games can feel refreshing. This is why I love modding. Yes, you get your typical “Easy” or “God” modes. But once in a while, you get a mod that can completely change how you experience a game. Case in point, this other upcoming mod that will let you experience The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in Elden Ring.
Speaking of Elden Ring, there are some other cool mods that you can try. The first must-have mod is the Seamless Co-op Mod. Then we have this mod, which brings to the game a parry system like Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Now, if you don’t want to use the MGRR Mod, you can try this one that adds Sekiro-like deflection & dodge mechanics. You can also find an unofficial Survival Mode mod. Make sure to also check out Primeval Balance V3 for new character classes with cool moves. And don’t miss the fantastic first-person mod. NVIDIA RTX owners can also use this mod to enable DLSS 3.5 Super Resolution. There is also an AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation Mod. And finally, if you want to improve its graphics, there’s a huge 25GB HD Texture Pack for over 4500 textures.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
