Yesterday, we shared a fan remake demo for Rayman 3. Well, Rayman fans, we have more exciting news for you today. A team of artists is also working on a fan remake of Rayman 2, and has shared a demo for it that you can download right now.
As the team noted, the demo is a vertical slice of the full game and includes the entirety of The Fairy Glade level, as well as a small obstacle course that showcases parts of Rayman’s move set.
What’s interesting here is that this Rayman 2 fan remake uses Unreal Engine 5.6. So, this is one of the few projects that run on the latest version of UE5. I went ahead and tried it on my NVIDIA RTX 5090 and I was getting 100FPS at Native 4K on Ultra Settings.
The good news is that I did not get any stutters. Then again, Rayman 2 has small environments, so this could be the reason why everything felt so smooth. Still, for an indie project, this looks and runs great.
Like I said before, I don’t expect Ubisoft to DMCA the two fan remakes of Rayman we’ve shared. Still, I strongly suggest downloading while they are still available. You never know what may happen in a couple of months.
You go ahead and download the demo from this link. Four days ago, the team also shared the first patch for it. So, make sure to get it as it packs a number of cool tweaks. On top of that, it fixes some bugs and issues. At the end of the article, you can also find its latest trailer.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. For Mario fans, we have this cool Super Mario Galaxy Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.
And that’s not all. There is a cool remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 that you can download. Or how about this free Attack on Titan game? Then we have the fan remakes for Dino Crisis 2 and MediEvil 2. Plus, there is an amazing fan remake of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Redux. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing ports of Skyrim and Oblivion.
Owners of high-end GPUs can also try these two tech demos. The first one features a Witcher-like environment. The second shows off a Rome Italian Town. Last month, we also shared a demo of King’s Field 2 in UE5. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, a demo for Need for Speed: Underground 2, and a Diablo 2 Remake Demo. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
