Stardock Entertainment and Oxide Games have announced the sequel to their massive real-time strategy game, Ashes of the Singularity. So, below you can find the first details, PC requirements, and a gameplay trailer for it.

In Ashes of the Singularity 2, you take control of huge armies and fight to take over whole planets. You can lead the forces of Earth, the robot-like AI Substrate, or the mysterious Post-Human Coalition. You can play alone, with friends in co-op, or against others in multiplayer battles across the solar system.

Players will control thousands of units in real time on giant battlefields as big as continents. You can zoom out to see the whole battlefield or zoom in to control the action up close. As you fight, the land around you changes – buildings break, terrain shifts, and areas turn into or out of a special material called Turinium. You’ll see the battlefield change based on your actions, showing the true impact of war.

The game will have both a campaign and multiplayer modes. So, let’s take a closer look at them.

In the campaign, you’ll lead the United Earth Forces as they fight to survive and rebuild in a dangerous future. You’ll battle against powerful enemies like the Post-Humans and the AI Substrate. In multiplayer or instant action, you can take control of different factions. Choose the strong humans of the United Earth Forces, the high-tech Post-Human Coalition, or the smart and powerful AI Substrate. Each group has its own special units, tactics, and ways of fighting, making every battle feel different and exciting.

As said, even though there is no ETA on when the game will come out, the devs have already shared its PC requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G or Intel i5-5300U with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 480 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 970. Oxide Games recommends using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel i5-6400 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD RX Vega 64 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti.

These appear to be really low PC specs. So, the recommended PC specs are most likely for 1080p. And even then, I don’t believe we’re talking about Max/Epic Settings. Still, they should give you an idea of the PC system you’ll need to run it.
