Rumor alert everyone. BunnyTheVillain, a Ubisoft Partner and Content Creator, says she has some inside info on the next main Assassin’s Creed game called Assassin’s Creed Red. So, let’s dive in, shall we?
According to the rumor, Ubisoft will officially reveal this game in May 2024. Then, in July 2024, the French company will air its first gameplay trailer at its Ubi Forward event. And finally, the game will most likely come out in November 2024.

This all falls in line with Ubisoft’s overall marketing practice. If AC Red comes out this year, then these reveal dates sound plausible. For comparison purposes, Ubi announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage in May 2023. Then, in June 2023, the company shared its first gameplay trailer. And finally, the game came out in October 2023.
In short, this information feels kind of legit. And no, you don’t really need insiders to guess those dates. Still, and as with all rumors, we strongly suggest taking it with a grain of salt.
From what we know, Assassin’s Creed Project Red will take the series to Feudal Japan. You can also bet that Ubi will go all out with this new AC game. AC: Red will most likely be released only on current-gen platforms. It will also have a higher budget than Assassin’s Creed Mirage. As such, we can expect a visual showcase.
It will be interesting to see whether AC Red will be able to match the lighting quality of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This new Assassin’s Creed game will be using the AnvilNext Engine. Thus, we are wondering whether its features will be able to match those that Massive Entertainment added to its Snowdrop Engine. And will it support Ray Tracing?

Loved mirage, felt like AC1 and was done with with in 25hours. Now, there will be again a new main title, +100hours game. I finished AC Valhalla, but the main reason was the graphics and the environment, loved Englalands nature.
I was so bored after 20 hours I was glad it was over …… At least it wasn’t a crash fest like Valhalla

We’ve been asking for 15 years for a feudal Japan AC and what we’ll be getting is a grindy ARPG where you play as a black samurai.

Yasuke is a real character, he wasn’t actually a samurai.
In the imperial court, Yasuka was a “curiosity”, a “thing” to be seen as if in a museum.
In case of the female samurai/ninja, well there was big lady samurai back in the days, and she was even the commander.
The Japanese are skeptical of outsiders and will not call someone from outside Japan a Japanese. (it’s the same now)

Yasuke was sword barer, Oda wanted him as such as he was strong so he could easily carry weapons and was as exotic as it gets so it suited him and his fame.
There were only around 6 or 7 non Japanese persons to have samurai title out of them 3 were white, one arab rest was asian.
They were real deal with high position, own people and land.
There was no single samurai women ever, its simple women could never have that title. There were women warriors and frankly many samurai wife’s did receive training to protect village when man were fighting wars far away and many did indeed fight with bandits or even regular armies but they never were samurai. While yes women could be in position of power like ruling entire clan they would still not have samurai title as the position of power was most of the time inherited from dead husband, so samurai wife would receive all the responsibilities and power of dead husband but not the tile.
In pre samurai era there were female generals.
That said, no one wants to play as Yosuke or even female samurai especially in period of Japan history that had so many great people that became living legends, the material is there but Wokisoft ofc had to ruin it by wokifing it.

yeah about that, far cry 2 is the last game they released on gog, that was decades ago.
Remember buying it later on in GOG’s lifecycle once they’d proven themselves. Unless Ubi backpedal on their practices they’re screwed.
Such a shame as Ubi Montreal had some excellent chad devs back in the 00’s, now the ESG cancer has set in all their studios.
i played the original version of fc2 and due to securom my pc blue screened unless i run it on one cpu core. It cant be stretched how much CANCER ubisoft is.
Ubisoft only puts their old games on GOG. They will probably release this game on their own store and possibly EGS. It will probably be loaded up with DRM as well so GOG wouldn’t have it on their store anyway.

They also make some of the best games. BG3, Trine 1-5 and Age of Wonders 4 all launched on day 1 on GoG. So will the upcoming Alone in the Dark and Gothic remake.
Ubisoft has several titles on GoG (Settlers, Far Cry, Beyond G&E, Rayman, etc). But just 1 AC game.
The least loyal to GoG are Japanese JRPG developers, all of their games are full of DRM and they don’t really care about PC to be frank. There’s 0 Final Fantasy games, 0 Tales games and 0 Persona games available on GoG. Then again, the large availability of Western RPG more than make up for this.
