YouTube’s ‘RE Biohazard’ just released an awesome gameplay trailer for its fan remake of the first Resident Evil game using Unreal Engine 5. This trailer gives you a good 4 minutes of actual gameplay, so make sure to check it out.
What’s really cool about this trailer is that it reveals numerous environments and enemies. For example, you can spot the Hunters and the Giant Snake. They’ve also made sure the combat mechanics work properly. This remake is one of the best we’ve seen from fans so far.
What’s also cool about this remake is that it lets you choose between a third-person and fixed-camera view. This is what the official remakes should have done. It’s like a dream come true for all die-hard Resident Evil fans.
Unfortunately, there is still no ETA on when we’ll get a demo of it. The team behind it stated that we should not be expecting a release date announcement anytime soon. And, to be honest, this sucks. Let’s not forget that Capcom shut down another fan remake of Resident Evil in Unity Engine. And I get it. The team is most likely using it for portfolio purposes. However, as you’ll see, they have put A LOT of effort into this remake. So, it will be a shame if we never get at least a demo of it.
To sum it up, this fan-made remake of Resident Evil in Unreal Engine 5 looks amazing, but I’d recommend not getting too excited. Its team is still working on it, but Capcom might shut it down very soon. So, think of it as a teaser trailer, and that way, you won’t be let down if it one day gets canceled.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. After all, we here at DSOGaming have shared numerous of them. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. Don’t also forget the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5. Lastly, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in UE 5.3.1. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.
Enjoy!

There was a point near the beginning of the trailer where Wesker turns around where I could see ghosting beside his head. God I hate TAA…
In fact, it’s not TAA’s fault, but how it is implemented and calibrated by developers.
In addition to TAA, there are also various types of post-processing which usually do more harm than good.
Would you give us a list of most likely to harm to least likely to harm if possible or just the ones most likely to be suspect of doing harm? Thanks.
The only way to prevent TAA from causing ghosting is to reduce its temporal effect to the point where it can’t prevent those “shimming” pixels everyone seems to hate so much these days. Since game developers refuse to do that, all games with TAA have ghosting. In some games (such as Cyberpunk 2077) the visuals are so blurry that you may not be able to see the ghosting unless you add sharpening with a third-party tool such as ReShade, but that excessive blurriness is another major issue with TAA that I’m just not willing to accept (especially since you can’t restore detail with sharpening after its been blended out of existence by TAA).
This looks terrible, to say the least.
John, I guess you forgot your Clozapine today.
The remake that came out in 2002 looks 10 times better than this asset flip looking trash.
I hate this engine.. or at least what they do with it. Everything looks soulless, clunky and it´s 90% of the time stuttering
More fake tricks sh*t
guys I’m gonna say it, i don’t know what’s gonna happened to me, even if i get disappeared just know this, i truly and utterly despise Unreal Engine 5

The mob will have to disappear me as well. UE5 so far seems to cause problems or maybe it’s just not being implemented correctly by developers. Either way, the problems need a solution.
No worries. You won’t get disappeared. I can’t speak for John but the only 2 things I’ve seen that he doesn’t allow is spam and links to crack sites. Other than that you get freedom to say what you really think here which is very rare these days with all of the censoring that goes on on gaming mainstream media sites.
I don’t recall anyone saying that they are happy with UE5 as it is. There are problems that need to be addressed either with the engine itself or with the way the developers are using it.
Damn dont know why people complaining about this its a fan project its not like its made by Capcom and for me i think it looks great as i can only imagine what it would be like if Capcom did remake RE1.
I can’t see anything ”incredible’ here. Looks very ugly.
