Assassins Creed Valhalla new screenshots

Here’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in 8K on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 with Reshade Ray Tracing

YouTube’s ‘Digital Dreams’ has shared a new video, showcasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla running in 8K on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 with Reshade Ray Tracing.

In order to capture this gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with a Samsung EVO 970 SSD and 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000Mhz.

From the looks of it, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 can run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla smoothly at 8K. Or at least it does not drop below 30fps during the scenes that the YouTuber has used. Since Digital Dreams has not included any overlay tool, it’s really hard to guess the actual framerate. While panning the camera and fighting enemies, we can definitely see a really smooth movement. Furthermore, Valhalla does not support FSR 2.0 or DLSS 2. Thus, we can assume this is native 8K unless Digital Dreams used the game’s resolution scaler.

Now I’m certain that the framerate may drop below that 50-60fps window in more demanding scenes, like big towns. Still, the fact that this GPU can run this AC game at 8K resolution is impressive. At least in my opinion. It also shows how powerful the RTX 4090 can be. Now imagine the framerates we’d be getting in this game with DLSS 2 or DLSS 3 Frame Generation.

Lastly, and speaking of 8K videos, you may be also interested in these other videos. For instance, here are Just Cause 3GTA 5 and Crysis 3 running in 8K. 1. The animations in this game look like something that participants of a gay or*y would find very appealing.
8:04 Just look at the way he swings that two-handed axe, he immediately shows his a*s to his opponents. You can’t convince me a straight person designed this.

  2. Skimming through it, I see…
    Over sharpening
    Over saturated colours
    Flickering lighting
    Pop-in
    Non-interactive vegetation in some areas

    Overall, it’s one big meh

  3. Everything looks great until combat happens.

0:30. Three swings with a big effin axe and no wounds whatsoever nor doesn’t run to heal or look for help. And the other moron moves like he’s looking for a coin in the ground.
What a big smelly piece of boring crap.

  5. *”Here’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in 8K on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 demonstrating what skipped frames look like” (and also reminding me about the godawful clunky combat).

  6. If there’s a down vote button for this article, I will spam the thumbs down 👎 button. Not only 8k is sh*t and just a waste of gpu power they bothered to test it on a crappy game. This is journalism nowadays, just posting moronic article for the sake of news!

Continue releasing articles showcasing mods, not this useless pile of crap.
