Hi-Fi RUSH feature

Hi-Fi RUSH is a new action game where the world syncs to the music from the creators of Evil Within & Ghostwire Tokyo

Bethesda has announced the latest game from Tango Gameworks, creators of Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo, called Hi-Fi RUSH. Hi-Fi RUSH is a new action game where the world syncs to the music, and below you can find its debut gameplay trailer.

In this game, players will take on armies of corporate drones in satisfying, rhythm-amplified combat. Players will time their moves to pull off flashy Beat Hits, hard-hitting special abilities and even combination attacks with their allies.

As its description reads:

“Players must feel the rhythm to enhance Chai’s actions, pulling off heavy Beat Hits at the end of a combo like a cymbal crash, or syncing up with one of his allies for a devastating tag-team finisher. In Hi-Fi RUSH, every battle is an opportunity to play out your own music video fantasy, seamlessly coordinating all your moves with the soundtrack.”

Hi-Fi RUSH is already available for purchase on Steam. Yeap, this is a stealth drop so it will be interesting to see whether this was the right call. After all, this week we get both Forspoken and Dead Space Remake, and Hogwarts Legacy is just around the corner.

Oh, and the game uses the Denuvo anti-tamper tech!

  1. Looks like my kind of game. I think music is an under rated part of games and can really lift or sink a game depending on its quality. Love the idea of music syncing to the action and is in part my dream for games tbh. Will wait for the reviews as always but if they are even slightly favorable I’m all in.

    1. I would say go for it. I’m about four or so hours in, and I adore it. If you have Gamepass, it’s easily worth the download, and if not, it’s only €30, so it’s not too steep an entry point.

    2. The ‘rhyme/rhythm’ actually already present in a game like arkham trilogy, the timing of the strike and dodge of the game follow a beat that you can follow to create a perfect combo (hence why Origins can’t reach the same height as trilogy, because its forgot the rhythm/beat hidden in arkham trilogy gameplay) , this game added the real beat into it that make it way more fun.

    1. It’s pretty much that, plus a healthy dose of DMC, but without the insufferable humor of Sunset Overdrive.

  2. Finally something new and original from MS at least new and original for them. Has some DMC vibes with the combat. But I am not complaining about that.

  3. It’s so, so, so, so good. I’m usually not that into Rhythm games, because I’m terrible at them. I’m great at keeping a beat, but ask me to multitask while doing it and I quickly lose the beat, then ask me to find the beat while dodging attacks and I just have a terrible time.

This game never lets you lose the beat. You always dodge, always attack, always block, and always parry on beat. You just get bonus points for staying on beat. Your movement isn’t restricted, your combos aren’t utterly ruined… it’s just so good.

When the music and the visuals all sync up… it’s only the end of January, and this is a genuine GotY contender to keep an eye on.

  4. That denuvo stuff hamper me a bit of purchasing this game , but Im deseperately wanted to show support to the success of this fun game, so I bought it.

  5. The game is fun, but I get sick of the robot cat yelling at me, and why does Lu-cille need hair like Vi from Arcane?
