The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with over 500 mods and Ray Tracing Reshade

Digital Dreams has shared a new video, showing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim with over 500 mods and Ray Tracing Reshade. This heavily modified version of Skyrim looks amazing, and can even compete with some current-gen games.

Now do note that these mods will stress even high-end GPUs. According to Digital Dreams, the game can drop to 40fps in some scenes on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX3090 at 4K. Still, and as you will see, the visuals are truly impressive.

In order to download the modlist that Digital Dreams used, you’ll have to install Wabbajack. Once installed, look for the “Total Visual Overhaul” list for Skyrim (or TVO).

Speaking of cool Skyrim mods, here are some more for Skyrim Special Edition (that should also work with TVO). This mod brings elements from The Witcher games to Skyrim, whereas Dragon Hall Tavern adds new quests, locations, arena & more. WyrmstoothLand of Vominhem, Legacy of the Dragonborn and this Heavy Metal Mod are also mods that you should check out.

Enjoy!

    1. As long as you don’t go crazy with installing a ton of script-heavy mods, install compatibility patches where necessary and use LOOT then all should be fine. My current Skyrim SE mod list includes over 1320 mods (748 plug-ins) and all is well.

  1. OK, what is that super freaky dead woman at 2:28? lol ?
Anyway, although this looks great, for the first time, I’m not impressed anymore, because I played Chernobylite a few days ago.
And the forest looks so “alive”, with branches and plants moving in every direction, realistic lighting, etc. Not the best game for me, but really impressive graphics.
Skyrim looks static and dead compared to this.
10 years later, Skyrim is finally looking “old-generation” to me now, no matter how many mods are used. ?

Edit : Obviously talking only about graphics here. I know it’s not everything. Morrowind looks much older even with mods and it’s still very good. And a game can be beautiful even with old technologies.)

  2. Daaamn, without even considering the results, making 500 mods run alongside each other is quite a feat by itself!
Btw, it looks overprocessed as always, but kinda ok.

  3. looks overkill and overdone. But reshade on GTA V and New Vegas is just wow… Blown away how amazing and much more realistic looking it can make a game.
