Sony itself has just revealed that Uncharted 4 will be coming to PC (and will most likely be the next Playstation-exclusive game we receive). The company revealed this during its IR Day 2021 Game & Network Services Segment.
As we can see, on Page 26, Sony clearly states that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be coming to PC.
Sony also stated that its ROI (Return of Investment) regarding its PC initiative is 250% (as of the end of March 2021). This basically means that it was profitable (for the publisher) porting Horizon Zero Dawn. Additionally, Days Gone appears to have sold well during its PC launch.
Lastly, Sony plans to expand its PC releases in order to target new geographies.
I went ahead and captured an image of that slide in case Sony deletes the entire PDF.

FFVII remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon’s Souls remake (and so on) are all recent games that would look and play great on PC.

The combat and enemies are so insanely unbalanced in both the original and the remaster that it isn’t even funny. Like putting the China Lake in one section on a platform where there are 150 enemies between it and you, all of which will kill you in 2 hits Or how the puzzle solutions were just literally written in a book that you had to look at.
Last boss has an infinite ammo shotgun that can blow up cover, metal crates – despite no enemy in the entire game ever being able to do that before.
2 was the only good Uncharted game. 4 was just old hat, it wasn’t bad but the only good thing about it was fake open world and rope swinging.

Look here: /watch?v=FFfaJ41pZ74 … Looks pretty smooth to me, only a few hitches below 30, down to like 28. But 98% of those framerates are 30 or higher. And that’s on a build that is nearly one year old now, and then he’s using a 10700 non K version running at only 4,61ghz, which isn’t great either. Use the most most recent build, then use a recent CPU and clock it to 5.2ghz and lock the framerate to 30

That emulating games can be tricky and requires tweaking is besides the point here. The point is that people can emulate these games on PC and having them pretty much playable IF THEY WANT. You know, there’s a reason why there are far more “plug-and-play” console peasants than there are true PC Master Race persons… Cracking, hacking, bypassing, blocking, tuning, tweaking, OC’ing, patching, configing, emulating etc etc etc aren’t for the faint of heart, and is part of the charm of being member of the PC elitists!
Oh and “this game alone” ??? Do you realize that the Uncharted games, along with TLOU and RDR are among the most technically difficult games to emulate to date? Basically any other regular PS3 game runs perfectly already, and it’s constantly getting better each month as the development continues for RPCS3.. Nice! As a Sony fan, I doubt I’ll ever rebuy most of their exclusives now that I have a PS5 (and that they’re excellent games, but one play through is enough for me) but it’s awesome that I’ll have the option for PC also down the road.

That would be fine if the non combat sections were actually fun and engaging. The Half Life series does a great job in this area. But in Uncharted, non combat areas are some of the most brainless you’ll play in any game. Whether it’s walking or climbing, you just hold forward and occasionally press jump. And this takes up about 1/3rd of the game in UC4. Maybe some of the puzzles can be defended, but you spend far more time walking, climbing, or watching cutscenes than you do in combat or puzzle solving in this trash game.

Ya, I had the same issues regarding 30 fps and gamepad aiming. Despite me not liking this game, I will say they significantly improved the combat by refining the visuals, audio, and feedback of the weapons/gunfire. If only there wasn’t so little of it in comparison to the rest of the game.

Nice it releases on pc. I just bought a PS5 to play the “exclusivities”. Too bad they did not release a patch for resolution and framerate improvements. Had to raise the sharpness a lot, since it is pretty blurry.

The top post on Eurogamer made some interesting points which I think needs to be emphasised more in these articles relating to U4. Looks like Sony has big plans to slowly shift away from the whole console war trend that’s been going on for so long and mimic some of the things Microsoft has been doing. Hopefully Nintendo will follow suit. Some of their games are already on PC so who knows.

Oh, definitely. The company took a complete nosedive towards the end of the PS3’s lifecycle and it was felt by all of us. Most would even suggest that the PS2 was their pinnacle point. Still, there are some decent modern titles like the ones you pointed out. The majority of them being Japanese made. Might as well make use of this opportunity and just avoid the ones that are generic or nothing more than just a political mouthpiece by all these millennial developers.
