  1. This is like hiding chocolate by covering it with feces. People will buy the feces just to taste the chocolate inside.

          1. right so youre saying theres no private companies there? and the resources are shared by everyone and the such?
are you in the 60s or something? china is as capitalist as they come. only difference is they have a strong state

          2. yea thats why they constantly get fines, anti monopoly probes and the such, because they own em themselves! oh wait..
i guess youve never been to china or know anything about it but what the propaganda machine wants you to, but when it comes to starting business and the such, it works pretty much like everywhere else in the world, hence why they have so many startups and so many new billionaires..

          3. And all companies are owned by CCP. And all western companies wanting to do business in china needs to have its local branch owned by a chinese company.

          4. the CCP has more power over companies there than they do over here sure, but theyre not “owned” by the government obviously. again, theres a reason its a hot spot for entrepreneurs over there and its not because the government loves start ups believe me.. do some research please

          5. right so i own amazon cuz i own a part of it right? (have a few shares of the company)

i mean you have to purposefully not check the news or something. alibaba was just fined a record fine of many billion dollars like 3 days ago and was for the past few years under an anti monopoly probe and investigation that made the company value drop almost 40%. 2 years ago tencent stock dropped like mad too cuz the government was reviewing its videogame policies so no new games were released for half a year or more
those moves sound like the CCP owns those companies to you? and those are the 2 biggest private chinese companies which would mean the CCP is looking at them the hardest and yet its apparent they dont have that much control over em

          6. > right so i own amazon cuz i own a part of it right? (have a few shares of the company)

Do you own 20% or even 50% or 90% of Amazon? If so, then yes.

            > those moves sound like the CCP owns those companies to you

Yes. Tencent does WAY, WAY more than just games.

          7. you think the CCP owns 50% of alibaba? 90%!!??? are you new to investing? if they owned 90% thered be no shares to sell

not only it sounds like you dont know anything about how public companies work, seems you dont want to do any research either because even the most basic google search would show you how wrong you are

and yea i know tencent does way more than games, wechat , wepay, they invest in lots of startups etc
im just saying their stock dropped about 30-40% when bejing froze all game licenses for them, so again, doesnt make sense if you “own” the company to punish it like that. now alipay IPO was canceled by the CCP, making alibaba drop about 40%… plus an ongoing anti monopoly investigation.. i said this already but seems you dont get it. you dont do “anti monopoly probes” on your OWN companies do you?
            also, please do some googling

          8. > you think the CCP owns 50% of alibaba? 90%!!??? are you new to investing? if they owned 90% thered be no shares to sell

Did I say that? That’s news to me! I didn’t even know I said that!

            > im just saying their stock dropped about 30-40% when bejing froze all game licenses for them, so again, doesnt make sense if you “own” the company to punish it like that.

Because games affects the CCP, despite partly owning the company, their desire to stay in power is bigger.

Yep, and China claims they are a free country, and the Virus didn’t come from them, but from America. And you actually believe China’s anti-monopoly probe?

Read the links I shared. Not my fault if you can’t think and need to grasp at straws.

        1. I see I triggered a nobody. So, you support and is fine with communists. As it turns out, Hitler was fine with Stalin. They were best buddies back in those days, and nothing has changed in this day and age. I just wonder if you are going to come to the defense of antifa too.

          1. ??? hitler hated stalin, he hated him so much he even invaded em knowing the huge risks because he couldnt bring himself to do anything else

          2. Then why were they friends, did weapons research in Russia, helped the Russian tank research, shared propaganda, invaded Poland and other countries together?

          3. the russians didnt invade poland “together” with the nazis are you insane? you know . 27 million russians died in world war 2 when combating the nazis, not sure hows that a friendship for you

          4. A deal that involved praises, cooperation in research, and military, economic and more.

In other words, this is a nice walk back for you.

          5. lots of US companies did business with the nazis too before things went to hell. were gonna call the US nazi allies too? in the end russia and hitler went to war and russia did tons of work on their part and suffered massive casualties. in no world it makes sense to talk of them as allies unless you specifically say “at the very beginning”

          6. What part of the past sense “were best buddies” did you not understand? Doesn’t mean they were friends at the end of the war, but before it, boy… They were best friends forever! Nearly singing kumbaya! And Russia lost many people due to their policies, sending soldiers to die from German bullets over Russian bullets is one.

  2. i remember when i played it, i was disappointed it only had 2 levels but the mouse control was better than the actual game, just lol.

  3. I have heard you could only play a few levels of Timesplitter and not the entire game. Good to know, it would be stupid if that was the case. Edit: Oh, they needed to reverse engineer the code, stupid devs coudn’t even do this right.

  4. Timesplitters was cool for it’s time. It’s a garbage game these days tho if you take off the nostalgia glasses.

    1. For a console FPS was pretty good, i think the tone of not giving a f*ck and the artstyle is what i found most interesting than anything else.
