Last month, ENBSeries creator, Boris Vorontsov, shared some screenshots, showcasing some new ENBSeries graphical features for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Boris was able to enable Detailed Shadows, Ambient Occlusion, Screen-Space Reflections. And yesterday, Boris shared some screenshots, showing some lovely experimental Ray Tracing effects.
For these Ray Tracing effects, Boris used 5 rays per pixel. Moreover, he did not use any denoiser (which explains why the screenshots are so grainy). Boris hopes to make this Ray Tracing solution usable with minimal number of bugs in order to integrate it in GTA5 and Skyrim for Patreon users.
Below you can find the comparison screenshots between the Ray Tracing (left) and the non-Ray Tracing (right) versions of Deus Ex Human Revolution. As you can immediately see, the ray-traced screenshots look more natural.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Is this an out-of-season April Fool’s joke?
I added grain to my photos, now please give me money on patreon!!!
That looks really good, it mixes well with Deus Ex unique aesthetics.
Looks phenomenal. This seems like real path-tracing. All the light sources seem to behave exactly in that fashion. Especially the area skylight in the 3rd screenshot.
By the way the last time news of this was posted, many people thought it’s exclusive to Patreon users but it’s not.
Everyone will have access to it for free but the patreon users get it first for a limited time.
This is like a next-gen patch for this game. From flat and baked lighting to proper global illumination.
Shame it is patreon only 🙁
so much noise.
damn the last pic makes it look night and day. I forgot how good the at direction was in that game. Makes cyberpunk look like a joke
Check the screens I posted.
Overall, almost 10 years ago, Deus Ex HR looked better than Cyberpunk.
People focus too much on the technical side with raytracing and stuff like that and tend to forget too much about art direction, unfortunately.
You can look at any scene of Cyberpunk, and it looks like they just put random props and stuff together without ever thinking about the whole scene in general. No art direction whatsoever.
yeah and the sad thing is cyberpunk 2020 the board game had a 80s style retrowave setting with more colors and cool hair cuts and better music instead of this gta v with tumblr looking characters.
The denoiser actually does this with all Nvidia RT. It is just very noticeable here.
The noise will be gone soon enough, as stated in the news. It’s a preview.
Paywall will be gone soon enough, too.
Bunch of haters with personal problems in life.
Meh.
Go to “sfx thelazy net games” and try Manoffaith Deus EX HR setting instead.

That is one poor way to represent a new feature. Marketing 101 fail.
Its like the screenshots were made crappy on purpose to hide something.
And only one game represented? Lets see how well it works in a few games please.
it is presented just for showcasing path tracing, denoising was not done and was not the point of these presentation. i do agree presenting it here in this stage isnt really a good idea since userbase here arent technical and just looking for wow and might not understand purpose of this showcase.
So now lights don’t illuminate sh*t and every hall and room is dark and shadowy.
Looks awful. So glad we got Cyberpunk 2077 which is pretty much a better Dues Ex.
