  1. This sale has proven pretty weak for me for the games that were on my list so I’m not getting anything.

No matter. I’ve got a huge backlog of games so I can wait for the Winter Sale and hopefully some better sales.

  2. I think steam should do what epic store done for 3rd world country games are way cheaper for us than steam i can’t pay now for game since our economy is going downhill let’s say if i bought a game that cost 60$ that is 75% of my salary even steam summer sales are very bad nowadays and for those ho hate pirate come ma boy live in our country

    1. It was a pretty cool game but the best reason that I have seen is that when Bethesda bought the rights to the Wolfenstein games they believed that it didn’t fall in line with the direction that they wanted to take Wolfenstein games in so they pulled it from Steam.

Unfortunately I bought the game from Direct2Drive and they messed my account up and wouldn’t fix it so I couldn’t use it anymore.

        1. I will never buy another game from Direct2Drive after the experience that I had. Bethesda pulled the game from every digital store at the same time. You can still buy the disk version but they are very expensive and I have heard that Windows 10 won’t even let you install an older game if it has any kind of DRM on the disk.

I checked an abandonware site that I have used and they don’t have it either. The only way to get the game now, as Sr_Chalice said, is to pirate it.

          1. Yeah I think pirating this game is the only option left. But I’m a bit hesitant to install games from those websites, because you don’t know what kind of hidden virus/trojan comes bundled with the installer !!

Even some “Repacks” contain some intrusive Malware. I can disable my AV, but my system might get infected. But let me try, since all websites won’t host an infected copy of the game.

          2. most of those are false positives i got a false positive on, get this…..legit copy of crysis 2. Yup.

          3. In my case I don’t consider it pirating since I paid for the game and the Publisher made their money off me and I lost access to play what I already paid for but I am leery of pirating games for the same reasons you mentioned.

          4. Yeah, I ended up riding the high seas in order to play X-Men Origins: Wolverine & Path Of Neo. That’s why I have a hard time condemning piracy because they are able to keep these games alive. These publishers and developers don’t care about curating a damn thing. They just make games for money once it stops moving major units, it’s like they don’t want anyone playing it anymore. Raven Software made X-Men Origins: Wolverine & The Wolfenstein game you want. Ever since those 2 games Activision have the studio playing support devs to call of duty content. I’m surprised those devs haven’t jumped through a window in the last decade.

          5. Well said. Btw, are “Fitgirl” repacks safe to install ? I have heard many complaints about system slow downs, and OS getting hanged after installing any of his/her repacks ! lol.

          6. I’ve personally never used fitgirl because I have unlimited bandwidth. I say this because fitgirl is all about ultra compressed content so you don’t have to download a big file. It’s for people with limited internet but then it takes hours to unpack. If you have good amount of bandwidth, don’t even bother with fitgirl. Fitgirl exists for those with limited bandwidth. You download a much smaller file but spends 30 minutes to 2 hours unpacking or even more… Just find the original crack that fitgirl compressed from. Fitgirl just takes the already existed crack and compresses the hell out of it.

          7. Lol, after searching, I just downloaded the Game from RG Mechanics site, and it was only 3.5 GB in size.

And Yes, the game works ! Thanks ! Now, I can blow out some of them Nazis ! 😀

          8. There’re no viruses there. Go to sites with comments and downloaded most shared torrents. Malware is usually in hot new games like Halo.

    2. Been wondering that for quite some time. I played the Demo on 360 a a decade ago, but always wanted to play it on PC. My guess is probably a Games For Windows Live product and it’s all muddled up in legalites or it just doesn’t work anymore because of the DRM. They would probably need to dig in. Which it would come to GOG. It’s done by Raven software same guys that did that Wolverine game. That’s not even in any platform either. Only way you can play it, is to ride the seven seas.

        1. Bethesda owns the rights now. Activision published that game and once they lost the rights they removed it, same as what happened to the Transformers and Spiderman games they had on Steam. It’s been gone for years though and I wanted to play it but not pirate it so I just bought a PS3 copy off ebay. Great game. Really loved the powers in it

          1. I don’t think Activision could pull the game from digital stores after selling the rights to Bethesda unless it was agreed beforehand that the game would be pulled as part of the deal with Bethesda.

    3. I managed to pick up a cheap copy on Ebay a few years ago. Glad to have it on PC since it’s pretty rare, but it doesn’t activate on Steam unfortunately.

          1. Many? Majority dont activate on Steam, games like Prey are rather an exception.

        1. Uninstall that literal malware and get qBittorrent ASAP!!! It’s better in every way and has zero adware/malware.

          1. Oh really ? I wasn’t aware of this. Thanks for the heads-up….

Okay, just downloaded the client, and it seems to be much better than utorrent. Uninstalled the previous client as well.

          2. i installed qbittorent years ago and never looked back. utorrent’s controversy is still on the internet, i don’t remember exactly but i think someone detected a miner or something.
by the way qbittorent is open source.

          3. Yup, My ESET NOD32 AV just caught the utorrent as a virus/trojan. ! Cleaned my PC as well. Not sure if this was a false positive or not.

Because utorrent is a very popular p2p client imo, though I’m not sure

    4. It’s not available maybe due to some licensing issues. Many old Activision games aren’t available.

  3. if anyone’s into strategy or warhammer 40k games i highly recommend dawn of war soulstorm + ultimate apocalypse mod.
the skirmish is a lot of fun

  4. If you buy a game worth $29.99, add Bloons TD 6 to your cart. It’s a decent tower defense game for $0.99, so you’ll get the $5 discount by going over the $30 limit.

      1. Yup, that’s it. I haven’t played this entry, but 4 and 5 were fun casual games IMO. It’s a series of tower defense games that started out as flash browser games.

  5. There’s some pretty good deals if you search a little!

BTW, A Plague Tale is an excellent game at this price!
