NVIDIA has confirmed that a new variant for its GTX1660 GPUs, the GTX 1660 SUPER, will come out on October 29th. This new SUPER model will feature higher memory bandwidth thanks to its new GDDR6 memory. And… well… that’s it.
To be honest, I wasn’t planning to publish a new article about the GTX1660 SUPER. After all, this new GTX1660 is almost identical to the non-SUPER model. But then, and after receiving numerous emails from you, I said “Screw it, what the hell. Let’s publish it”.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660 SUPER will have 1408 CUDA cores, with a base clock at 1530Mhz. The GPU will turbo-boost at 1785Mhz and will have 6GB of GDDR6 memory. The memory will be rated at 14 Gbps and will have a 336GB/sec maximum theoretical bandwidth.
As said, this new model for the GTX1660 will come out on October 29th. NVIDIA also revealed a $229 MSRP. Similarly to pretty much all GPUs, though, we expect to see some overclocked versions that will have a higher price.

Nvidia : buying not rtx cards is crazy….
Also Nvidia : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER has been officially announced
Waiting for hyper edition because super is not enough…
How this compares to gtx 1080 it?
it does not
1080ti crushes this thing
Does this replace the original 1660?
Ooh NvIdiA…
Why?
Hopefully RTX 3000 series comes soon.
Here we can observe 2 mentali handicaped windowlickers in theyr natural habitat….
Nvidia will have to drop the price so bad once Rx 5500 releases… I’d buy a Vega 56 at that price
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and GTX 1650 SUPER final specifications…..NEW info:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER – 5 Watts more for GDDR6 support
The GTX 1660 SUPER will feature 12nm Turing TU116 graphics processor with 1408 CUDA cores, 88 TMUs, and 48 ROPs. This model will sport 6GB GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory bus. This corresponds to 336 GB/s of maximum theoretical bandwidth. That’s even more than GTX 1660 Ti (thanks to 14 Gbps memory chips).
The card will not be available as a reference design, the GTX 1660S can only be purchased from NVIDIA board partners. For that reason, NVIDIA is not providing the specs for display and power connectors in the spec sheet. Although it is mentioned that it will require at least one 8-pin power connector.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER – Actually a good upgrade?
The rumors pointed towards 1024-1152 CUDA specs, but in reality, the GTX 1650 SUPER will be equipped with 1280 CUDA cores, which is the same as the GTX 1060 series. This model will be based on TU116 GPU.
NVIDIA’s cheapest SUPER model will have 4GB GDDR6 memory onboard. The card will keep 1650’s 128-bit memory bus and 32 ROP count. The higher specs will come at a cost of 25W higher TDP, as the GTX1650S will now require 100W of power. This model will also be clocked 50-60 MHz higher than the non-Super variant.
