Resident Evil 7 has sold 6.6 million copies, Devil May Cry 5 2.5 million, Resident Evil 2 Remake 4.5 million & more

Capcom has updated its “Platinum Titles” page, revealing some new sales figures about its latest titles. According to the Japanese company, Resident Evil 7 has sold 6.6 million copies to date, whereas Resident Evil 2 Remake has sold 4.5 million copies.

Devil May Cry 5, the latest game that Capcom released on current-gen platforms, has sold 2.5 million copies. This is obviously great news for DMC fans as the game was commercially successful, and we may see another part in the DMC series in the future.

Monster Hunter World is doing great as it has sold more than 13 million copies worldwide. My guess is that the game’s sales will see a significant boost with the release of Iceborne. Now while Iceborne will come out next month on consoles, its PC released was delayed until January 2020.

It’s also worth noting that Street Fighter 5 has sold more than 3.5 millon copies. Interestingly enough, this latest part in the Street Fighter series has now sold more than its predecessor, Street Fighter IV.

Last but not least, Resident Evil 4 HD has sold 1.5 million copies and Dead Rising 3 has sold 2.7 million copies.

  1. Great, let just hope Capcom won’t get on the bandwagon of Epic Store exclusives for their future titles.

    1. Capcom as Japanese company will always support steam because its an American owned company, unlike Timmy Store

    2. Capcom has made way too much money out of Steam, I doubt they will do anything to jeopardize that! A AAA developer doesn’t need Epics ransom money. Unless they are greedy as hell, thus Deep Silver and 2k!

I do get why Indies go for Epic! Still not gonna buy anything there but I get it!

Thank god the Outer Worlds also releases on Xbox Game Pass! No need to use Epics crappy store!

    1. As in it deserves to have sold more copies? It’s only been out like 5 months. If you mean a better game, idk, haven’t played it.

  2. I bought 2 copies or RE7… Once on ps4… then when I moved to pc gaming rebought it again on pc. RE7 is soooo fkn awesome

      1. Second jack fight with the chainsaw battles was both the most ridiculous thing ever and probably the most nerve-wracking fight of that game. Its like literally every f’ing time you moved he was on your heels unless you just spam kicked the meat into him until he destroyed it.

    1. It’s the best RE game that came out since RE3. RE4 is good but it’s not Resident Evil. RE5 was ok but, not really. RE6 was absolute trash, ORC was a 1/10, and the rest are spinoffs and such. Revelations 1 and 2 were okay but they still weren’t really RE. But RE7 and RE2 were a return to form.

So many stupid crybabies whined about RE7 “It copied muh outlast, hurr durr” etc. and they were literally too braindead to understand that the only difference between RE7 and any classic RE game was the camera angle. The gameplay was otherwise completely on point.

  3. I seem to recall some morons on Steam forums saying “RE7 won’t sell even 5 million” to which I said “I’ll come back to this later.”
