Mortal Kombat Movie will be R-rated and will, for the first time, feature gory fatalities

Now here is something really cool for all Mortal Kombat fans out there. A new Mortal Kombat movie is currently under development and its screen writer has just confirmed that it will be R-rated. Not only that, but Greg Russo has also stated that the movie will feature the game’s iconic finishing moves, fatalities.

Russo claims that fatalities will be featured in a MK movie for the first time ever so I can assume that it will be as gory as the finishing moves found in the games.

Technically speaking, the first Mortal Kombat movie also featured some non-gory fatalities. For instance, we got to see Sub-Zero’s Exploding Ice Ball fatality from Mortal Kombat 2, Scorpion’s Fire Fatality (though it was not successful against Johnny Cage), Shang Tsung’s Soul Stealing fatality from Mortal Kombat 2 and a re-imagined version of the Pit Fatality.

The new Mortal Kombat movie will hit theatres on March 5, 2021, and it was recently revealed that actor Joe Taslim, best known from The Raid, will play Sub-Zero.

  1. Gonna be pretty dope to see fatalities in a live action movie. Hope they don’t screw up the rest of the movie though.

    1. The games itself has a crappy story… What can you expect from a movie besides the cool special effects? Nothing.

    1. what? No if that was true he wouldnt be here because sjw doctors are the ones who abort babies.

  2. Will viewers have to pay extra to see the fatalities? Blurred out and only viewable with special prepaid glasses.

Gotta shove those cash-grabs in to movies next. Come on, Hollywood. You know you wanna. Well, I know WB wants to. No doubt there.

  3. Here we go again. The only two video game movies I ever enjoyed were the first Mortal Kombat and the first half of Silent Hill. The rest were mediocre at best imho.

p.s. I almost forgot Doom, crappy movie but the last scene in fpp was brilliant.

  4. R-rated movie, SJW-rated game with X-rated monetisation!

EDIT: Which word from the above necessitated moderation approval?

  5. But will it feature burqa females? I don’t want sexism and objectification in mah movies!

  6. I don’t think they’ll have the balls to go full on sjw. They did it in the game because they know gamers are generally sheep who’ll buy their fav franchise game no matter what.

On the other hand, woke movies from Hollywood aren’t fairing well

    1. Yep hasnt stopped them yet though. Pretty sure they’re banking on future profits by shoehorning SJW politics in because they think traditional fanbases will die off sooner.

Dumbing down society seems to be taking longer than they thought though because new generations are increasingly becoming right wing.
