First in-engine trailer released for Codemasters’ new GRID racing game

Codemasters has released the first in-engine trailer for its upcoming racing game, GRID (the team claims that this is a gameplay trailer but as you will see, it mostly features external replay camera viewpoints).

GRID promises to offer a perfect balance between risk and reward that will satisfy all types of players. The handling is said to be incredibly responsive and the learning curve will allow arcade players as well as sim fans to take as much pleasure as possible. As players progress through the game, they’ll earn extra liveries for vehicles, player cards, teammates, successes and flying medals. AI drivers will also push the players to their limits.

The game will also feature a realistically simulated damage system that will affect performance, and will feature a “nemesis” system via which AI drivers will try and take their revenge on players.

The game was originally meant to come out this September but Codemasters decided to delay it until October 11th in order to further hype this new racing game and offer more pre-release exposure to it.

Enjoy!

  1. So they wasted time on this game and took time away from F1 2019, LMAO!

Oh and, Ewwwww . Ewww Game . Send it to Epic Store to replace Beyond Two Souls and Borderlands 3 . Also I am not touching Epic Store !!

    1. That’s a Windows 10 Store UWP product so not really! Phil Spencer would probably call it a ‘True PC game’.

      1. Nah mate, It’s just a game on a store . People that don;t care can buy and play, the issue here actually? Who the hell plays FM7? And doesn’t get bored within the first 20mins? LMAO .

So my point being, they put FM7 on Steam, and honestly, no one kurr lmao.

          1. To you though, like sure, I got some UWP games, do I care? No, not bc UWP, however Xbox games, outside Halo, are you know, legit a won’t even pirate . lmao .

No, it’s a game in the Windows store, big difference.

        2. Who the hell plays FM7

I actually bought the game not long ago in my graze to get every decent car game, only to realize that there’s absolutely NO SENSE OF SPEED in that fkin game…..How am I supposed to take corners when you can’t even feel the speed you’re going!?

EDIT: Just tried it again and I can’t get the FKIN PS4 CONTROLLER TO WORK WITH THE POS WINDOWS STORE GARBAGE! LITERALLY NO OTHER GAME HAS ISSUES WITH PS4 CONTROLLER!

  2. I feel like this game will become irrelevant really quick. The market is saturated with titles like this one!

      1. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 was damn great.. Criterion studio really knew how to make great arcade racing games, until, you know… EA had to interfere

  3. I hope this one’s a bit more “simulation” like, unlike Grid 2.

I’m about 60% done with GRID 2, and I haven’t played it for the past month, every single car has the same handling. I love car games, but the unrealism has gotten me to not play the game.

Hell GRID 1 feels more realistic.
