Rebellion has released a brand new video for Sniper Elite V2 that compares the original with the upcoming remastered version. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will feature enhanced graphics and this comparison video will give you an idea of the new implemented features.
Alongside the improved visuals, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will include all the DLCs that were released for Sniper Elite V2, will come with new playable characters and will sport a frame-by-frame photo mode.
Sniper Elite V2 is set in the dying days of World War Two and is a next-generation reboot of 2005’s acclaimed original, Sniper Elite. The game weaves an explosive story of an undercover American OSS agent, stalking enemy prey across key historical locations from the Battle of Berlin in a mission to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket programme.
This remastered version is coming to the PC on May 14th!

So I guess they are going to “remaster” every mediocre-to-crappy game released in the last 10 years, how is this a news story ?
You say this game was acclaimed, not by anybody I know who played it.
And yes it has a ridiculous Steam score…
Cus its a news site reporting on news so relax
You don’t know anyone who played it then. Like I said it’s the worst of the last 3 SE games (not counting NZA) , but it’s still a great game. It’s just dwarfed by how much truly better 3 and 4 were.
They used the gameboy color version as the original version…
My thoughts exactly!
They used a console version to make people believe they did something great with this piece of shet.
The remaster is more for the consoles than the PC crowd, but they did at least add some point lights and dynamic shadows that aren’t present on PC (the best I recall).
11.49$ CDN on Steam. Not bad.
Why the hell they used the PS3 version of this game? lol.
Oh… yeah… if they would’ve have used the PC version there wouldn’t have been any difference. Greedy as*holes.
Presumably because this ‘remaster’ is primarily targeted at the console peasantry who typically don’t know any better.
If the PC version isn’t free or offered with a very steep price discount to existing owners then they’re having a laugh!
Anyway, it’s by Rebellion so I won’t be buying it because they’re still on my sh*tlist since the unseemly spat they had with Green Man Gaming.
If you polish a piece of turd…you end up with a shiny piece of turd.
We live in the remaster era of videogames.
And the worst thing is that they’re doing it in games we never asked for.
FML
The only good thing about this remaster is that they will release it on GOG.
Even for the upgrade price of 9.99 I don’t think I’m interested unless they put in SE3 and 4 mechanics.
SEV2 was frankly the most frustrating and probably the worst of the modern SE titles. Not to mention 100% of its additional content was DLC – it had basically nothing included in the normal game. Landweher canal and stuff like that, all DLC.
It just had frustrating levels after berlin and the missile facility, most of which utterly lacked any options to make a stealthy entry.
They sharpened the original textures and turn off dof?
well it’s just the same game with low and ultra settings. lol
