NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti rumoured to be launching on February 22nd

Back in January, we informed you about a possible release date for the rumoured NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti graphics card. While reports suggested that this unannounced GPU would come out on February 15th, we have now new information suggesting that this Turing graphics card will come out one week later, on February 22nd.

Now let’s get this out of the way; the NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti is real. Palit and EVGA have already confirmed that they will release their custom versions for it, and below you can find their packages (courtesy of Videocardz).

The EVGA models will be equipped with with 6GB of GDDR6 memory and will feature 1536 CUDA cores. Even though we don’t know the clocks for these EVGA models, we do know that Palit will be offering the StormX OC variant with a clock speed of 1815 MHz, and the non-OC variant with a clock speed of 1770 MHz.

EVGA and Palit have not confirmed any prices but according to earlier reports, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti will come with an MSRP of $279. Moreover, and as its name suggests, these cards will be based on the Turing architecture but will not support ray tracing.

Last but not least, and even though there aren’t any gaming benchmarks yet, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti is said to be faster than the GTX1060.

Kudos to our reader Metal Messiah for bringing this to our attention.

    1. For more competition in the mid-range/mainstream segment, so as to rival AMD’s similar offerings even further.

    1. nothing to learn. 6GB should be enough for it’s intended market. the problem with PC gamer is they like to push everything to ultra even if they can’t see the difference.

  1. “…the NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti is real

Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?
Caught in the next crypto-currency price hike no escape from paid DLC
Open your wallet look up to the skies and reeeeeeee
I’m just a poor gamer, I need no sympathy

Because I’m easy come, easy CS:GO
RTX is high, AMD is slow
    Anyway the Epic Store blows
Doesn’t really matter to me, to me.

  2. Who the hell comes up with those numbers?! AMD and NVIDIA need to drop whatever numbering formula they are following for something that makes sense.

  4. Hello JOHN,

There has been some update on the upcoming GTX 1660Ti GPU. The price is confirmed as well, which is 279 USD, and one FFXV benchmark has also been leaked.

Just thought of informing you about this. Even the release dates have been once again confirmed.

The card seems to match TITAN X performance from the MAXWELL generation. Please go through these links

TSMC $550 Million Blunder Destroyed Thousands Of NVIDIA GPU Wafers.

All of NVIDIA’s current Geforce video cards, for instance, are fabricated on these production lines and its possible that a large volume of NVIDIA GPU chips was scrapped as a result of the manufacturing mishap. GPU chips indeed take several months from wafer-start to arriving on store shelves.

If we say that 10,000 NVIDIA wafers were scrapped, and use the Geforce 2060 at 445mm^2, we can estimate that about 1.2 million of these chips aren’t going to be made as planned. While consumer prices could, in theory, be bumped due to a lack of supply, the more interesting thing would be to consider its impact on NVIDIA. 1.2M Geforce 2060’s would retail for $420 million!
