Now here is a pleasant surprise. GSC GameWorld has released an official cinematic teaser trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Now before getting really excited about it, know that this trailer does not show really much about the game, so don’t expect to see any gameplay footage from it.
As we’ve already stated, GSC GameWorld targets a 2021 release for STALKER 2. Now we don’t know whether the team will be able to hit this deadline, and whether the footage showcased in this trailer is in-engine footage.
Back in May, GSC GameWorld claimed that the game is in design document phase and that its initial announcement was made so it could find a publisher at E3 2018. Since then GSC GameWorld has not revealed anything at all so we don’t know whether this teaser trailer is another attempt to find a publisher or not.
But anyway, we are pretty sure that most STALKER fans will find this interesting so go ahead and watch the trailer!
UPDATE:
After further investigation, it appears that this is a fake trailer. For starters, this YouTube account has only two videos (that were released today). Not only that, but GSC GameWorld has not shared this trailer on its official Facebook page or Twitter account. As such, we are marking this as a fake until we hear more about it!

Bit early for this tbh. I hate being teased for a game that’s at least 2 and a half years away from being released. Devs need to stop this carrot on stick style marketing years ahead of release.

why ?? they are just trying to create a hype by posting such a useless video, for a game whose future is uncertain, and it’s more than 2 years away as well.
Who knows, this might never see the light of the day ? just my thoughts. this video showcases absolutely nothing regarding the gameplay either.
don’t get me wrong tho. i just want them to show us some concrete gameplay video/trailer, assuming they really are onto something.
I’m happy they’re at least trying, i guess i’ll be happier if they release a more interesting video some day, and even happier if they’ll ever release the game.

IMO the YT video looks like a fan made stuff. If this was indeed real, then it should have been posted on GSC’s official website as well.
btw, check the YT account’s history of the videos posted. This might also give some hint. I smell something fishy though.

Yeah, looks to be that way. Most devs these days link to their official twitter as well, which this video and channel do not.

Stalker is one of those games I like the idea of but playing it never lives up to the hype.

yes arma is not for casuals but stalker is not the same concept per se.. it was the original survival shooter. way before dayz and all realized what a goldmine this kind of gameplay is. plus the story was pretty nice and original. So if its genre doesnt appeal to you then this is just a matter of taste. Myself i love stalker. havent played anything online i liked till now. waiting to give escape from tarkov a go.
