Black Desert Online surpasses 10 million registered users worldwide


Pearl Abyss announced today that Black Desert Online now has over 10 million registered users worldwide. Backed by its custom proprietary engine, Black Desert Online presents – according to the press release – a world-class action MMORPG with cutting-edge visuals and skill-based combat that has redefined the genre.

In 2014, Black Desert Online debuted on the Korean market; it then launched in Japan and Russia in 2015, and North America and Europe in 2016. Since then, the game has expanded into South America, Turkey, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Currently, the game is available in over 150 countries, 12 languages and has more than 2.4 billion hours of gameplay.

Last month, Black Desert Online underwent a major overhaul on its graphics and audio. The remastered version of the game adds a stunning look and feel to the game, with 4K video, amazing remastered graphics and new orchestral soundtracks.

Following the release, the number of returning users increased 104% month-over-month in North America and Europe, 246% in Taiwan, 144% in Turkey. The number of new users increased 24% month-over-month in North America and Europe, 35% in Turkey.
