Now here is something really interesting. In an interview with Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts III Director Tetsuya Nomura said that Square Enix will consider bringing this new Kingdom Hearts game to other platforms once the game releases on PS4 and Xbox One.
As Nomura stated, the team is dedicated on these two versions right now. Still, once the game has been released on these two consoles, Square Enix will consider bringing it to other platforms. What other platforms? Nomura did not clarify but we can safely assume that he’s referring to two: Nintendo Switch and PC.
Here is what Nomura had to say about bringing Kingdom Hearts 3 to other platforms (and a misunderstanding that occurred during an interview with IGN who claimed that Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch).
“They misinterpreted the word ‘considering’ as to “it is possible to release” and it spread out. “Other hardware” is not limited to the Nintendo switch, and we will consider all of them after the release of the PS4 and Xbox one versions.”
Kingdom Hearts III will be powered by Unreal Engine 4, so a PC version should theoretically be possible (and easier than a PC version of Final Fantasy XV; a game that is using Square Enix’s Luminous Engine).
Now obviously we strongly suggest keeping your expectations low, as it may take a couple of years until we see Kingdom Hearts 3 on PS4 and Xbox One (so a possible PC version is still a long ways off).

They can keep it. lol
I found some cheap nooses on Amazon for you, just look in the Suggested For You part of the page.
Naw mate, cheap rope breaks. Hemp nooses cost extra, but they’re the best….. no breaking 😀
A strong noose is like a good friend, you hang out with them.
without playing KH 1 & 2, how am I suppose to know what’s going on? besides where is FFXV?
it’s more complex than that, you need to play to every single KH game in every platform to (barely) know what’s happening
and all of them are jrpgs that require endless grinding.
they take no grinding unless on the hardest difficulty. I play the franchise and i havnt had to grind ever. I have a feeling you dont know what youre talking about.
You can play then with ps2 emulators since they only rleeaaed on ps2 .
They should really put a big effort focus on porting them to PC sometime, preferably within 5 years and not 20.
You got to play the psp game and then maybe just maybe you figure out what going on, the story is a mess also there is kingdom hearts 2.5 or something that changes stuff.
2.5 is just a directors cut of 2, doesnt change anything so again you dont know what youre talking about but want to seem like you do
Just watch youtube video KH in under 3 minutes, I only played 1+2 and PSP version, I couldn’t care less about the story, it’s all about the game play experience, you can start from 3 and if your’re interested work your way down. It’s no different than any other cliche fantasy game story line, this one is just a little more special than the rest.
Ah the typical I don’t care for this game so others don’t comment

KH is a massive franchise with a huge following so i wold say a fair amount care
it’s a massive pile of dog sh*t, that’s what it is and i’m trying to imagine what do fans of this franchise look like, definitely not attractive, definitely not social, definitely not intelligent and definitely not successful in their life, the only word comes to my mind is loser lmao
I care.
You should only care if Zatara was the one commenting. Come on pay more attention!
Naw, my cultists have the right to care about stuff…. So long as they care about the things I care about & don’t contradict my caring or non-caring ;D
That’s deep; way too deep lol
But for the sake of the argument, correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t your cultist ( and I say cultist because I only see one) arise by contradicting you on numerous occasions?
HE DARED?
OI ACOLYTES, GET THE PITCHFORKS & TORCHES READY, WE’VE GOT A QUARTERING TO GET TO 😀
I love me a good quartering in the morning ^^
lol, you’re loco.
It will be nice to see KH3 on PC but without 1 and 2 is’t bad idea.
Also SE will include on PC a malware inside game that slows down games, aka Denuvo, malware that consumer needs to pay additional cash…
No thx SE.
While official ports would be nice on Steam, you can play 1 and 2 via PCSX2.
Oh look, another user who blatantly dislikes the content of the article yet has no real justification for providing no worthwhile discussion and needlessly express their disapproval when they’re really just wasting their own time.
Look. Look at how silly they are. If we point and laugh about their immaturity, they’ll go away in shame.
(Psst. KH3 already runs on PC hardware.)
The year is 2017 and PC gaming is really huge. Companies that don’t port their games to PC are at least ridiculous and shouldn’t taken seriously. I mean who can take seriously Square Enix anyway. A couple years ago I would get upset but now I simply smile and carry on.
“Companies that don’t port their games to PC are at least ridiculous and shouldn’t taken seriously.”
…unless they’re first or second party studios owned by a console manufacturer.
Even those are becoming ridiculous these days.
After all, Sony’d make more money if they brought their exclusives over to PC, but those thickheaded f*cks are too busy trying to sell their sh*tty boxes using the latest & greatest in pathetic gimmicks to figure that out.
Uh, no. Much as I’d like something like Horizon or whatever on PC, those studios are console exclusive creation mills. Those games are meant to sell their little underpowered boxes.
Obviously, except they only sell so many. As such, at the end of the day, Sony would be making more money off of Horizon Zero Dawn if they also released a PC version of it, even if it came 6 months later.
As f*cked up as Microsoft’s cross-platform initiative is because of its UWP + Windows 10 exclusivity, they’re onto something with it. That something being, obviously, more money (even if only marginally, due to the aforementioned UWP thing) than they’d otherwise be making had they left their IPs as Xbox exclusives.
I never take SE seriously due to the way they troll their fans, set themselves up for insanely high expectations on their sales as well as reviews. Also their pricing is silly af when it comes to some of their games and their general merch is off the charts in terms of pricing. They are full of themselves to charge high for the brand name.
You have seen Final Fantasy VII port, right?
mIllions of Disney fan. Even i, that idont like rpg i wll play this when it comes to pc due to the disney characters.
Unreal Engine 4 isn’t exactly natively optimized once you start adding things.
A KH3 dev already admitted the games are made on high end PCs before being toned down for consoles. It wouldn’t take much effort for a PC release.
Didnt the new KH3 trailer confirm a 2018 release year? Not precise day though.
having played the first game i got to agree.
Telekinesis? 😀
Time to put the tinfoil hat and blindfold on 😉
Mind the walls, then ^^
Obviously it’s coming to PC, just like Final Fantasy XV & Red Dead Redemption 2 are both coming to PC, since it means extra money, which is also why they’re making an Xbox version. Even if it doesn’t sell anywhere near as much as the PS4 version, it’ll still generate some degree of revenue, so they might as well make one, all things considered.
At least, that’s how they figure it.
Square Enix and IGN named together in the same article. What’s not to like?!
