YouTube’s ‘John GodGames Emus’ has shared a video, showcasing the latest version of shadPS4 running inFAMOUS Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and God of War 3 Remastered.
shadPS4 is the best PlayStation 4 emulator we’ve got on PC. The emulator can already run Bloodborne smoothly at 4K with 60FPS. So, if you are a fan of it, you should consider replaying it on PC. After all, we won’t get a native PC version of it.
And that’s not all. Believe it or not, we also got some mods for it. For instance, there is a mod that remasters its graphics. Then we have this mod that attempts to restore content that was cut from it. Finally, you can use this mod to play in first-person mode.
Now, as you will see, inFAMOUS Second Son and Killzone: Shadow Fall are nowhere close to being playable. Both of these games run at really low framerates. On the other hand, God of War 3 Remastered runs with 50-60FPS, but it’s full of visual artifacts. Still, the fact that the emulator can launch and go in-game is a huge deal.
In this video, we also get to see Driveclub. Driveclub’s performance is not that great here. To capture the gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 64GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. As we can see via the Performance Overlay, both the GPU and CPU were underused. So, I don’t know why the game was only running with 40FPS.
We also get to see KNACK and The Last Guardian. Sadly, though, both of them have major visual issues. That’s a bummer but hey, by the end of 2025, we might be able to play both of them.
Some other PS4 exclusives that can run on shadPS4 are Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, Alienation, and The Witch & The Hundred Knight 2.
Those interested can download shadPS4 from this link.
All in all, shadPS4 is making a lot of progress. The fact that it can launch and run both Killzone and inFAMOUS is an incredible achievement. Similarly, Driveclub appears to be almost fully playable. By the end of 2025, we should be able to enjoy it at 4K/60FPS. This will be a dream come true for all of its fans.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
