A couple of days ago, some videos from the first playtest of Battlefield 6 leaked online. Since then, even more gameplay videos found their way to the Internet. And you know what? Battlefield 6 has the potential to be something special.
At the end of the article, you can find two videos that showcase the destruction system of this new BF game. And, as you will see, they look absolutely incredible.
BF: Bad Company 2 had a destruction system that was leagues above anything we had ever seen. Yes, later Battlefield games had a slightly better destruction. However, this is the first time I finally get the same feeling we got with Bad Company 2.
Now the big question is whether this destruction system is for everything. If it’s only for a few specific buildings/areas, then it will be cool but nothing ground-breaking. However, if it is applied to most of the buildings, then THIS is the BF game most of us have been waiting for.
It’s also interesting to note that EA and DICE are not taking down these videos. Most other companies would have immediately taken them down. However, EA and DICE are pretty smart regarding these leaks. They know they look great, and they know a lot of gamers like them. So, there is no reason at all to take them down. This is free marketing for BF6.
Another cool thing is that classes are back. After the huge backlash Battlefield 2042 received for its Operators, DICE is going back to the class system. So, that’s another big win for BF fans.
There is currently no ETA for when Battlefield 6 will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
