Far Cry 5 is the fastest selling title in the franchise’s history, second biggest launch ever for a Ubisoft game

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 5 is the fastest selling title in the franchise’s history. According to the big publisher, the game more than doubled first week sell-through of Far Cry 4, and it currently represents the second biggest launch ever for a Ubisoft game, following only Tom Clancy’s The Division, with $310M USD in consumer spending through the first week. Far Cry 2 features more advanced physics than Far Cry 5, despite being released 10 years ago

As we’ve already reported, Far Cry 5 looks and runs incredibly well on the PC platform. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands surpassed 10 million players worldwide

Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands has surpassed ten million players worldwide. As the press release reads, since the initial launch of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands in March 2017, Ubisoft Paris has released 13 updates, including the launch of Ghost War – the 4v4 PvP mode – as well as The Predator special event and numerous updates to the core gameplay. Animus Control Panel is coming to the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Origins later this month

Ubisoft has announced that a new tool will be released for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Origins, the Animus Control Panel. Far Cry 5 appears to be running smoothly on the PC, no 100% CPU usage, no stuttering

Far Cry 5 has micro-transactions, will be cosmetics and ‘speed up’ items

Far Cry 5 releases in a few days and Ubisoft told Gamespot that its latest open-world title will feature micro-transactions. However, and similar to pretty much all latest games, these micro-transactions will be only for cosmetic items and they will not affect – according to Ubisoft – the gameplay.
