Polycount’s member ‘DRIVEJUNKY95‘ has recreated Skyrim in Unreal Engine 4. The key point here is how faithful to the real game DRIVEJUNKY95’s take actually is (and not how much better it could have been). It’s so faithful that you’ll have a hard time distinguishing DRIVEJUNKY95’s project from the real thing. And while this may not impress most of you, it really is a big deal recreating so faithfully a big map from one engine to another (especially when this whole thing is being done by a single person). DRIVEJUNKY95 plans to further enhance and improve his scene, so here is hoping that a more advanced lighting system and better textures will be used. Enjoy! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released in 2011 and thanks to its dedicated and active modding community, Bethesda’s RPG is capable of producing visuals that can be compared with today’s titles. Truth be told, the lighting system is not as advanced as the one of other triple-A RPGs, however its modders have figured out ways – via custom ENBSeries configs, 3d models/meshes and texture packs – to turn Skyrim into a gorgeous looking game.
