VG247 has posted a new video in which cinematic director David Footman talks about the latest Splinter Cell game. What’s interesting here is that for the first time, a Ubisoft employee officially admits that Conviction was developed in order to be a fast-paced action title, while at the same time abandoning its stealthy roots. Well, it took them a while to admit it. David believes that Blacklist will be something different, though, and Ubisoft’s designers are working hard to provide stealth approaches to every single level. Enjoy! Splinter Cell meets RC Airplanes – Live-Action Short Film

Our reader ‘Bryce Jurgensmeier’ has informed us about a new live-action ‘Splinter Cell’ short film, created by Devin Graham. This short film was inspired by the Paladin airplane that is included in the Blacklist Collector’s Edition (which does flies mind you). Elias Toufexis – the voice of Adam Jensen – will play Andriy Kobin in Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Elias Toufexis has confirmed – on his FB account – that he will play Andriy Kobin in the upcoming Splinter Cell game, Blacklist. Andriy Kobin is a character we also met in Conviction, who was Sam’s contractor, a drug runner who was responsible for Sarah’s death. Andriy Kobin was working for third Echelon so it will be interesting to see his role into this. Splinter Cell: Blacklist – Release Date Revealed

Ubisoft has released today a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist – via IGN – in which the French company reveals the release date of its title. So, Splinter Cell fans, Blacklist is currently planned for an August 20th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Splinter Cell: Blacklist promises to satisfy both old-school and action fans, or at least that’s what Ubisoft aims to. Still, it will be interesting to see whether it succeeds in doing so or not. As promised, Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist. In this Splinter Cell ComDev video we hear from Blacklist’s Art Director Scott Lee who shares some insight into the game’s overarching visual styling as well as the re-emergence of light and shadow. Electronic Arts, on the other hand, has released a new trailer for Dead Space 3 that highlights the ability to either play solo or via friends in co-op mode. Enjoy! New Splinter Cell: Blacklist video coming tomorrow, new screenshot released

Ubisoft revealed that a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be released tomorrow. In addition, the company has shared a new screenshot from that trailer that showcases some BF3-like lens-flares that will be featured in it. Splinter Cell: Blacklist promises to be both an action and a stealth game, though we all know Ubisoft won’t be able to satisfy both camps. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Movie Officially Unveiled, To Be Produced By New Regency

Today, Ubisoft and New Regency announced that they are partnering on the forthcoming Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell film. Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the film and television division of Ubisoft, will develop the Splinter Cell movie in close collaboration with New Regency. Ubisoft also recently announced it attached award-winning actor Tom Hardy and up-and-coming screenwriter Eric Warren Singer (“The International”) to the film. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist, in which Animation Director, Kristjan Zadziuk, takes us on a tour of some of the non-lethal take downs. Stealth fans will definitely like this video, and it will be interesting to see whether the game’s level design will offer proper stealth approaches or not. Happy birthday Sam Fisher; Splinter Cell turns 10 years old

Man, it’s been ten years since the debut of Sam Fisher on Microsoft’s console, Xbox. Splinter Cell was meant to be Microsoft’s answer to Sony’s Metal Gear Solid franchise. Thus, Splinter Cell was advertised as the best third-person stealth game. And oh boy was it an incredible experience. Packed with amazing visuals for its time, Splinter Cell quickly became the epitome of third-person stealth games. Fast forward a couple of years, and here we are today with new Splinter Cell games that are more action-oriented than its predecessors. As promised, Ubisoft has released a new stealthy trailer for Blacklist, showcasing a dark and shadow-ish environment that will be featured in this new Splinter Cell game, as well as Chaos Theory’s classic mechanic Closer Than Ever. This trailer is said to be dedicated to all classic Splinter Cell fans, so go ahead and take a look at it. Ubisoft is definitely trying to win its fans back, so it will be interesting to see whether they succeed on that.
