NVIDIA GeForce 344.48 WHQL Driver – Adds DSR Support For Various GPUs, Introduces New SLI Profiles

NVIDIA has released a new WHQL driver for its graphics cards. According to its release notes, this driver adds support for the recently announced DSR feature (which is basically a downsampling method) to GeForce GTX 400, 500, 600, 700 and 900 Series GeForce GTX graphics cards. In addition, NVIDIA has introduced a number of SLI profiles (though there is still none for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor). NVIDIA GTX980 Will Cost $549 & NVIDIA GTX970 Will Cost $329, Available From Today

NVIDIA has just announced that GTX980 will cost %549 while its little brother (the GTX970) will cost $329. The green team claimed that these cards will be available for purchase starting Friday, September 19th. Nvidia GTX 980/970 – First Synthetic Benchmark “3DMark” Scores Leaked

VideoCardz has leaked the first 3DMark scores for Nvidia’s upcoming GPUs. In case you’ve not been following this latest generation of Nvidia’s GPUs, the company has decided to skip the 8xx GPU series for the PC. Therefore, the team will re-brand those cards and will release them under the 9xx brand, and the new GPUs from Nvidia will be basically GTX980 and GTX970. Nvidia Releases GeForce 340.65 – First Official Drivers Supporting OpenGL 4.5

Nvidia has released a new set of drivers that support the new version of OpenGL, OpenGL 4.5. As the green team noted, PC gamers will need any one of the following Fermi, Kepler or Maxwell based GPUs to get access to all the OpenGL 4.5 and GLSL 4.50 functionality. Nvidia Finally Officially Speaks About AMD’s Mantle – Will Not Support It, No Real Benefit Using It

On MaximumPCMagazine’s latest podcast, Nvidia finally took a stance on AMD’s Mantle. MaximumPCMagazine invited Nvidia’s Distinguished Engineer Tom Petersen and Senior Director of Engineering Rev Lebaradian who shared their thoughts about it, and confirmed that Nvidia is not part of it, will not support it, and there are – at least to them – no big benefits from using it.
