JPR Report: GPU shipments decreased by 2.65% from last quarter and by 3.3% from last year
Jon Peddie Research, the market research firm for the computer graphics industry, has released its quarterly Market Watch report on worldwide GPU shipments used in PCs for Q4 2018. According to the report, overall GPU shipments have decreased by 2.65% from last quarter and year-to-year total GPU shipments decreased by 3.3%. The embargo for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti has been lifted and the first third-party gaming benchmarks have hit the Internet. According to the results we’re seeing, this new graphics card from NVIDIA is as powerful as the GTX980Ti and GTX1070 graphics cards, and in most cases faster than AMD’s RX 590 GPU. It appears that the first benchmarks for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti have been leaked online. These first tests come from Final Fantasy XV and Ashes of the Singularity and show this upcoming GPU performing as fast as the NVIDIA GTX 1070 and 25% faster than the GTX1060.
