Namco Bandai has revealed some new information about the PC version of Ace Combat Assault Horizon and – as most of you may have already guessed – the game will use GFWL for its multiplayer mode. Yeap, it sucks but that was a given. You didn’t expect Namco to re-write the game’s MP code… did you? Let’s at least hope that the game won’t feature any 30fps lock like Dark Souls did. As we’ve said a number of times, we love live-action films. And here we are today with Wild Stunts Europe & Namco Bandai Games, presenting us a never seen action short movie based on Tekken license. It looks bloody amazing, with a top-notch choreography. Needless to say that this is what a proper Tekken movie should look like (apart from Kazuya that is), especially when we’re talking about the fighting scenes. Enjoy! We love modders and we are really happy when we see a collaboration between them. Dark Souls modders Durante and Clement decided to join forces and DSFix 1.5 is the first fruition of this collab. As you may have guessed, the DSFix addresses the internal resolution that was locked – when the game came out – and adds support for SSAO and SMAA. However, this new DSFix also includes an option for those who want to override the game’s locked 30fps option. We seriously don’t know whether we should be happy that there are dedicated modders, willing to go the extra mile and fix From Software’s action RPG, or not. But this is a good thing, so let’s be positive on that, shall we? Following Durante’s fix for the game’s resolution, modder ‘Nwks’ has released a 60fps mod for Dark Souls PC. As its title suggests, this mod unlocks the game’s framerate and is currently in alpha phase. Continue reading Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition PC – 60FPS Unlocker Released – Alpha Version→
Last week we took a look at one of the best console ports of 2012, Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs. Well, today we are bringing you the worst console port of this year, that is no other than Namco’s Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition. It’s really ironic criticizing a game that we got out of nowhere, however Dark Souls PC seems like a quick cash-in and nothing more. It’s true that From Software is not familiar with the PC platform but there is no excuse for what they’re currently offering us. Even if they’re not familiar with our platform, it’s not that hard to remove some console features that were put on purpose. And if you believe that From Software was able to develop a game from scratch and could not find the global values of the on-screen button indicators or the resolution lock mechanism, then you are a fool.
